I do this kind of "foraging plate" sometimes. Yours looks really good and balanced. Got some protein, plenty of plants, a little probiotics, great work, good eating!

If you're gonna use a single line break with Markdown, you have to put two spaces on the end of each line:

Bacon
Turkey
Mushrooms
Green onion
Garlic clove
Sugar Peas
Kalamata Olives

or put an asterisk and space before each line for a bulleted list:

  • Habanero
  • Gruyere
  • Bleu cheese
  • Red grapes
  • Blackberries
  • Strawberries
  • Honey

For sure the honey on the fruit, but habanero and bleu cheese is great with the bacon, and the peas and turkey with some black pepper and green onions go well.

That's interesting. I've never seen a plate of random stuff as dinner before, cool concept.

I wanted to try and emulate what a person might eat if they had one of the food bags from like BG3 or something. Lol. Very fantasy oriented, like I'm making a trek somewhere distant and this is the easy and healthy travel rations.

Ahhhhh I love the idea of roleplaying food! I might steal this one day if I can remember.

i love this!

every time I eat a kiwi I leave the skin on and pretend i'm Diana from V. if i have to eat gruel or something i don't love i like to pretend i got to some remote inn after travel and it's the only food available and just part of life on the road. I never thought to do it with good food though and i like it!

Doing it with a combo of good and bad can help too, especially if you get the bad over with first lol

This really puts the porn in foodporn.

Might want to have cooked the shrooms with the bacon. Otherwise looks very palatable.

Normally I would, just was in a rush lol. And I always save the fat after cooking it off for future use!

Healthy and diverse.

That bacon is positively carbon... Gone past the point of crispy (and I love crispy bacon).

[–] OhVenus_Baby@lemmy.ml 4 points 9 months ago

Fuck I'm starving and this looks fantastic. Healthy meal too

I’m also impressed by the cleanliness of that old electric stove!

[–] fleebleneeble@reddthat.com 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I try my best. Lol. I'm almost always broke from having to clean shit constantly.

[–] Lifecoach5000@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I had one for many many years but finally upgraded to a flat top electric stove. Highly recommended if you’re ever in the position to update that!

[–] fleebleneeble@reddthat.com 3 points 9 months ago

Definitely would love to switch to anything different, just a matter of moving at some point lol

Your dinner was a plate of snacks?

[–] Rachelhazideas@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago

Let me introduce you to the concept of girl dinner.
