Nice wiener.

[–] darksiderbun@lemmy.ca 30 points 9 months ago (1 children)

It’s because of the plate type and lighting!

[–] Zachariah@lemmy.world 8 points 9 months ago (1 children)

…and the quality ingredients!

[–] violetsoftness@piefed.blahaj.zone 16 points 9 months ago

and the rakish angle of the wiener with the artistic drizzle of sauce the whole thing is delightful

There's something incredibly striking about this photo. At first glance, it absolutely looks like a glam shot of a fancy dish at a restaurant. But the more you look, the worse it gets. Like one of those pictures that shows an ordinary scene, but with terrifying details and storylines hidden in plain sight. Like this.

Would absolutely smash after smoking a bowl, though.

Ohhhh, I love this! Do you have any more?

[–] Kit@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 9 months ago

I don't have any at the ready, but I think this style of art was called "I'm sorry Waldo" on Reddit if you want to try to hunt down some more.

Didn't even fuckin toast the bread....

What are you doing with your life?

[–] HoneyMustardGas@lemmy.world 21 points 9 months ago (1 children)

The bread would not bend around the sausage if it is toasted. I ate it like a hotdog

[–] Toneswirly@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

You gotta bend the bread in to a U shape while its toasting

That's actually a great idea. I will try it.

Not getting crumbs all over his beard. Fuck toast.

  • The sauce looks like salad dressing and has bits in it. That's what makes it fancy. If it was plain mayo, it would be ordinary (and a food crime anywhere outside Iowa).
  • That's spinach, not iceberg. Oooh, fancy.
  • But mainly: Whole Wheat Bread, not Wonder!

You are a fake, yuppie interloper.

[–] HoneyMustardGas@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago

The sauce is Guy Fieri's Bacon Ranch sauce.

Gourmet Carl's Junior, maybe.

[–] JohnnyEnzyme@piefed.social 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Gourmet truck stop reeking of gas fumes.

Btw, this belongs in c/ShittyFoodPorn, OP!

[–] HoneyMustardGas@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago

Thank you I didn't know that existed. I was not super confident but I figured I'd try. It was his idea to post it. I just wanted a quick snack.

[–] _stranger_@lemmy.world 14 points 9 months ago

Excellent plating can do wonders.

[–] 9point6@lemmy.world 8 points 9 months ago

Now that's brat

[–] artifex@piefed.social 7 points 9 months ago

Y’all from the Midwest?

[–] fulcrummed@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago

Is he still up from the night before and coming down from a very big outing? Good midnight noms - defs; gourmet - nossomuch

[–] FelixCress@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Your roommate was sarcastic.

[–] HoneyMustardGas@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

But it was definitely good. Jalepeno cheddar sausage

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 4 points 9 months ago

Fanciest looking microwaved Johnsonville Brat on just a single slice of sandwich bread I've ever seen.

[–] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 3 points 9 months ago

Needs more tweezed micro herbs.

Looks tasty, but if I received that at even a fast casual restaurant, I'd never go back. If I made it for myself at midnight and it tasted good, I'd be real happy. But a packaged sausage on a piece of supermarket sliced bread isn't something I'd pay for at a restaurant. I think it's the relatively clean white plate and symmetry that's giving your friend restaurant vibes, but he should also maybe go to better restaurants.

Honestly "plate too big" is doing about90% of the work.

[–] HoneyMustardGas@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago

That is the point

[–] HoneyMustardGas@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago

These comments didn't disappoint.
