I would say the line but I forgot how it goes and I'm all out of ideas.
Tonight several democrats will be staying the night in the state capitol because they refused to sign an agreement to be escorted out of the capitol by police. This is very brave of them because it denies the Republicans from claiming the Democrats are derelict of duty. Take that, you dastardly Republicans. The grown ups are here, and they’re bringing a permanent quorum so you can execute your white supremacist agenda without delay because THAT’S WHAT LEADERS DO.

Texas Dems conditioned their return on a promise by California to similarly redraw their districts in favor of their own party.
Politely requesting a source on that being the actual claim of victory because that's absolutely unhinged. If was the last thing on the whiteboard then it was the only thing and everyone regretted it was written.
“California” can’t promise shit. All they can do (and this is Newsom’s plan) is to put on the ballot in November for California to eliminate their independent board that draws the district map. No idea if that would pass or not but it would be up to California voters, not the governor or Democratic Party.

This seems to be a carefully crafted capitulation. The Dems do what they always do, which is nothing, but make a show of it to boost support. Kind of like Bookers pointless filibuster. Any way to get support other than the material improvement of their constituents lives. This is why I could never vote Dem. The sheer undiluted disdain they have for the base is astounding.
