Why would you title the article this?

Click bait. Everyone knows his favorite game is that mobile Civ knockoff that he probably also sucks at

I'm guessing the mobile civ knockoff has a ton of micro transactions, and that's why he likes it, because he can just pay money to win a match.

Sorta? I mean you gotta pay a few dollars each to unlock the different factions, and the Luxidors, the most expensive ones, are by far the most overpowered. But otherwise the rest of them are fairly balanced. An actual match can't by influenced by any real money transactions

Edit: normal factions are $1, the Luxidors are $4

Adam Jensen voice I didn't ask for this

no fog of war, no technology tree, no random map or spawn position, only 1 player

Polytopia addresses these limitations.

Save your money and just get Deus Ex: Revision. It's basically a free remastered mod that does the same thing but better.

about to get into a huge romhack / mod phase and I'm stoked for it

This looks like absolute trash. Even mods released ten years ago look better. They should have hired Nightdive.

I thought this might be hyperbole, but by curious-marx and blushing-engels I didn't expect that! It reminds me of the Half-Life Source "Update" that was just the original game with Blue Shift's skins.
