I wanna see how it would taste if I "masked the flavor" but anyway...

It'd probably be horrible 😭

Why are you tasting DayQuil at all? My experience is that it comes in gel capsules that you swallow whole. Is there a liquid form?

kagis

Ah. Apparently yes.

You might want to try the liquid caps. No taste:

The liquid caps are significantly more expensive

[–] Marshezezz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 0 points 2 months ago

Worth it though

[–] SPRUNT@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

The best way to cover NyQuil is by chasing it with a shot of absinthe.

How'd it go? I'm looking for Halloween cocktail ideas

[–] atheqtpie@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 months ago

I didn’t try yet 😭 Maybe I should though

[–] BombOmOm@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

None of those should pose an issue. But putting DayQuil in hot chocolate sounds like a great way to ruin your hot chocolate. Just drink the cup of hot chocolate after taking the dayquil.

For the off brand version that tastes bad I always just pinched my nose, drank the medicine, then with nose still pinched drank a glass of water. Cleared the taste enough most times.

You could try pouring it down your throat, bypassing your taste buds. Chase it with water to rinse off anything left on your uvula.

Medicine to alleviate cold and flu symptoms, at least in the US. Dunno what global availability is like or if it's branded the same way elsewhere.

[–] MadnessForTsar@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Well since it's also under Vicks brand, here we have similar medicine named "Vicks Formula" instead of DailyQuil

[–] Okokimup@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Get the Pseudoephedrine they keep behind the pharmacy counter. It's the one that works and it comes in convenient pill form that would definitely go well with hot chocolate.

Does milk make you at all phlegmy? Milk would be counterproductive to DayQuil for me.

[–] njm1314@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

I can't think of any good reason why you should.

[–] ivanovsky@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I thought *Quil got debunked as being worse than even placebo for actually curing anything
