A reminder that SNAP was already funded by Congress, and specifically. Because of previous shutdowns. The Trump administration refused to actually distribute the funds and tried to justify it with the shutdown.
Even after shutdown is over still not fully funded. Guess never get those funds back.

They ain't getting bounty hunters. Someone on the inside is getting a football of cash courtesy of the humble tax payer. They are lootting the government.

Wife had a booth at the outdoor flea market while I wandered around. ICE could seal the exits and round up 200 Hispanics, on a rainy Sunday afternoon, easy. I'd bet on most of that particular crowd not having green cards. Hell, they could nail my wife, not like she carries her fucking card around everywhere.
For context, this was in Pensacola, FL, not exactly a gargantuan metro area. Also, not too many Hispanics around here. (Wasn't any until workers came to bail us out of Hurricane Ivan.)
ICE has demonstrated that nothing is out of bounds and they have near absolute power. So why not just waltz in and scour a simple flea market?
Oh! Because we're in a red state and we're all fucking armed. Funny how they're only targeting blue states with the most restrictive gun laws in the nation. Strange that.
Same goes for Texas. Went for a funeral 15-years ago near Austin. I was astonished at the number of Hispanic folks and beautiful women with solid black hair. "All y'all got Mexican blood?!" And I'm saying that as a white guy who had just moved from Chicagoland! (Kinda like the mirror version of all the Swedish and German blondes in Kansas. And the hot redheads in Arkansas, for whatever reason.)
Want Hispanics? Why not raid Texas? Oh, maybe it's all the armed white rednecks married to brown women. Problematic that.
More serious answer: This is plain corruption. Somebody's getting a piece of the pie. No reason to involve bounty hunters.
