By that logic we should ban umbrellas.
I get the sense that the post is ironic, and op has the same opinion as you. But hey, nothing is too explicit on the internet, it's probably better to state it all clearly.
The danger of Socialism is that it enables governments to do the same as what Capitalism is doing.
These programs exist for a reason. Free market capitalism is what made them necessary in the first place.
