The Skywalker Shot.

The Riker Gambit.

The Adama Maneuver.

A normal Tongsday for Anakin.

[–] shittydwarf@piefed.social 20 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

The Adama maneuver was so epic I jumped out of my chair when I saw it for the first time

Yeah, even today decades later that chip gives goosebumps.

5: SG-1 rings aboard against direct orders and chucks a bunch of C-4 at the generator core before escaping in a blaze of olive drab

That's 1 and 3

War Crimes put the "edgy" in strategy.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 11 points 2 weeks ago (5 children)

Who puts the D in strategy?

[–] essell@lemmy.world 9 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Every male lead in a SciFi?

Even Picard was getting it on.

[–] scoobford@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 weeks ago

"Even" Picard.

As if any of us could be lucky enough to know that shiny domed stallion. The fact that Picard wasn't eyebrows deep in desperate hotties and himbos flinging themselves at his feet is a testament to the show runner's restraint.

I mean sometimes I pronounce it straddgedee. Especially when I blunder in chess.

[–] Draegur@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 week ago

oh-HO! Like a Tragedy of Strategy! I get it! Very clever~!

[–] chaogomu@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

The sort of people who think war is a giant dick swinging contest.

[–] Iheartcheese@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Me.

Wait sorry I thought you asked who puts the D in your mom

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 weeks ago

I'd like to add Captain John Sheridan's kamikaze attack on the Shadow homeworld with a White Star ship full of nukes.

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social 18 points 2 weeks ago

I think that one pretty much covers all four.

[–] fox2263@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

John “Nuke’m” Sheridan.

Where every problem has a nuclear solution.

[–] TotallyNotSpezUpload@startrek.website 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

One of my birthday gifts for my partner was a Cameo by Bruce Boxleitner in which he was reminiscing about his time on Babylon 5 and also his shenanigans in Hollywood with William Shatner.

My partner is watching B5 for the very first time and they love it. They almost had a stroke when Bruce sent his best wishes to them and talked about a lot of behind the scenes stuff. Solid gold.

[–] fox2263@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

Holy shit that’s amazing.

[–] MDCCCLV@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 weeks ago

Since when is attacking the enemy capital an war crime?

[–] MinFapper@startrek.website 16 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Don't forget "reversing the polarity"

[–] Honytawk@feddit.nl 8 points 2 weeks ago

That one is mainly a Star Trek strategy.

"Throw an engineer at it" is a more general one.

also the shutting of all the drones by destroying the mothership

[–] saltnotsugar@lemmy.world 11 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Don’t forget big ol worm attack.

[–] Agent641@lemmy.world 14 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

My wife said the exact same thing in bed last night.

[–] Klear@quokk.au 10 points 2 weeks ago

You forgot again?

[–] TachyonTele@piefed.social 6 points 2 weeks ago

Haha she does say that a lot, doesn't she!

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago

you missed hitting the killbots' predetermined kill limit

[–] Muscle_Meteor@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 2 weeks ago

Tele-nuke?

Or are we counting that under war crime?

[–] chunes@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

For "Impossible Strategy" I think of Ender's Game.

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 weeks ago

Isn't the superweapon pic from when the Entrepreneur channeled energy through the deflector to fire at the borg while Picard was still on board in the season cliffhanger, and then the next season started with it having absolutely no effect?

[–] Bombastic@sopuli.xyz 1 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

What would you count this one as?

[–] Muscle_Meteor@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 2 weeks ago

One off superweapon?

[–] MinFapper@startrek.website 1 points 2 weeks ago

What is that? I don't think I've seen whatever that show is and now I'm intrigued
