This overly happy little fellow has completed its long way from Japan and is waiting for a good hone before it can do what it came here to do. Can't wait!

pinging @gcgallant@sub.wetshaving.social who caused this experiment.

That looks hard to hone... But very cool razor! Such a belly would be great on my neck between the adam's apple and the neck muscle.

They do take some skill to hone. They are great for the hollow areas like those next to the adam's apple, and are surprisingly great in areas where the curve does not appear as if it would be effective.

It was super fun to hone!

Now remains to see whether I managed to get a good edge ๐Ÿ˜…

I know it is the oddest looking razor, and appears as if it will be difficult to shave with. I look forward to your reaction after shaving with it!

Already honed and ready for a shave!

How did the honing go for you?

It went really well! I wrote it up here

I was a bit slow and careful in the beginning, but quickly found my groove.

Very cool and what a well-preserved example! Out of curiosity, did you do something like yahoo.co.jp + a parcel forwarder or was this a more straightforward eg. ebay purchase?

Thanks! Straight-forward eBay purchase.

If you're interested, I've done some light research on these razors and written up some interesting to me details here.
