But is it enough to help the farmers forget about it come election time?

[–] gustofwind@lemmy.world 44 points 2 days ago (1 children)

They’re cultural Republicans

Nothing would change the way they vote, nothing

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

I mean, what choice do they even have? Vote for the DEMONcrats?!??

[–] Someonelol@lemmy.dbzer0.com 27 points 2 days ago (1 children)

They have a proud heritage of voting to get kicked in the nuts by Republicans and blaming Democrats for it. Please respect their idiotic decisions.

You have voters who are so brainwashed that even if they fully believe that Trump screwed them will still vote for the next GOP candidate.

At best, they will stay home and refuse to vote.

Asking the real questions!

But all a challenger has to do is remind them that Argentina got $80b from their “America First” president.

[–] nixfreak@sopuli.xyz 1 points 2 days ago

Doubtful, full price is what 28 billion in loss.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 0 points 2 days ago

It's all the Democrats' fault, so vote MAGA again.

[–] ClanOfTheOcho@lemmy.world 60 points 2 days ago

I'm tired of bailing them out every time they decide to screw me at election time.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 33 points 2 days ago (1 children)

So the people that voted for this are demanding more of a payoff.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

That's why they voted for this.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

Well, that and the in-group virtue signaling, and all the racism.

[–] PMmeTrebuchets@lemmy.zip 37 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Idk I think they should try pulling themselves up by their bootstraps instead of accepting a government handout

[–] Thedogdrinkscoffee@lemmy.ca 16 points 2 days ago

American farmers are just lazy and don't want to work anymore.

[–] HootinNHollerin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 30 points 2 days ago (1 children)

He gave argentina more than double that

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 7 points 2 days ago

While shutting down food for poor Americans. Argentina needed the money more.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 38 points 2 days ago

I feel like farmers probably voted for Trump, so they should probably just live with the consequences.

[–] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world 30 points 2 days ago

If you voted for Trump, you shouldn't get a dime.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Then stop voting for facists assholes. I hope every last farmer ends up in trump’s for profit homeless prisons

[–] FatVegan@leminal.space 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

But they are fascist assholes

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 4 points 2 days ago

Many of them are just really stupid.

[–] Ancalagon@lemmy.world 20 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, that's the point. It's called corruption.

[–] bigfondue@lemmy.world 31 points 2 days ago

JD Vance was an investor in AcreTrader, which buys and sells farms. How convenient!

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 13 points 2 days ago

Did you vote for him?

Then this is all on you.

[–] lemmylump@lemmy.world 16 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

They're ungrateful socialist.

12 billion and leopards to eat their faces, the nerve.

[–] bklyn@piefed.social 12 points 2 days ago

Have the day you voted for!

[–] nixfreak@sopuli.xyz 9 points 2 days ago

No shit , this administration is the dumbest in history.

[–] ameancow@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

So the countries we export animal feed cornmeal and ethanol to are really gonna be sad. They will have to get that shit from one of the many other countries that want to be primary suppliers of the massive amounts inedible corn we turn into a few burgers.

[–] myfunnyaccountname@lemmy.zip 6 points 2 days ago

I’m sure the tariff refund. The check for like a month of healthcare. The DOGE refund. Will solve all of their issues.
