What's missing is that NATO did a hell of a lot more then just impose a no-fly zone, they conducted 7000 bombing sorties and destroyed the Libyan military enough to allow basically anyone to walk in and take over.

They literally destroyed a massive water pipeline that kept small communities deep in the Sahara alive which I'm pretty sure is some kind of war crime. Fuck NATO to hell.

Even if Gaddafi was the mad tyrant he was made out to be by Western media (which he wasn't) that doesn't justify bombing a country into ruin, destroying all its infrastructure, killing its people in droves, and resetting the whole country back to the era of open-air slave markets.
They destroyed Libya because Gaddafi wanted a pan-african union to resist western colonialism.
