Thought maaaaybe Duality is a calm instrumental song by Slipknot, but nope π Thanks for sharing!
Try this Maggotbrain by Funkadellic. 100% instrumental and very calming https://youtu.be/xby5467EbdU
Brian Eno's ambient work.
Listening to Ambient 1: Music for Airports now. I like how slow and gentle it is :) Thank you!
Check out βDeep Blue Dayβ by Eno. Thatβs always one of my go-to tracks.
Very chill! I'm probably too influenced by the still image, but it gives off space/cosmic vibes :)
Don't know if it always counts as chill but Tron Legacy soundtrack, every time.
If it works for you it counts :)
My grounding music is old blues. Like scratchy old records.
Animals as Leaders is my brain go brrrr music. Metal and instrumental are the best.
Older (i.e. 2000s and early 2010s) hypnotic techno. I do 30 mins of deep breathing exercises 3 times a day, while listening to it, to try and maintain a sense of calm throughout the day.
Realise my music choice probably isnβt what most people would classify as βchillβ. I mainly listen to electronic music so I find it easy to lose myself into the extremely repetitive percussion and melody.
Moby?

I have enjoyed a soft murmur on days where I need to focus. A soft murmur is a neat little website where you can build your own soundscape. You can even subscribe to access the full sound library. I have used this site on off for at least a decade.
The free version is great already btw. For years I used singing bowl, birds, rain and waves as my soundscape. After I became a subscriber I got into crickets and frogs xD
As far as I know, this is an initiative by one guy so if you decide to subscribe, the money goes to him. He has a bio on the site that describes the story behind the website and his mission with it, but I don't remember it super well. Haven't used it since October because my life has been a hectic mess haha.
Super cool!
Marco Union - Weightless
has never failed me.
Yesssss
These two aren't like the others, The Beautiful Chorus albums Rhythmic Meditations, also Love Dimension. On loop. Both on Bandcamp.
Marconi Union albums The Fear of Never Landing, also Versions. On Bandcamp.
Michael Stearns album Planetary Unfolding, available on Bandcamp.
Nils Frahm album Music For Animals, available on Bandcamp.
Anything by Kiasmos, they have two albums Kiasmos and Kiasmos II, available on Bandcamp.
Absolutely stunning, especially the first two! It kinda makes me think of Made in Heights, like the song viices, though there are still strong differences.
Thank you for sharing!
Khruangbin - Con Todos El Mundo, and I also have a playlist I keep adding to called Remain Calm
mynoise is my favourite noise generator site. every sound across hundreds of different generators is organically sourced by the owner, which sounds hyperbolic but it's not.
I've come across it a while ago, even got it on my phone. But I don't really understand how it works, or what the sliders really do :(
the sliders are just the overall volume for the individual noise tracks. best way to see this in action is going through all the presets on the left. i'll reinstall the app real quick to remind myself how that works there.
ETA: oh it's literally a button labeled "presets". you can also bring up the slider labels with a long hold on the circle, or mouse-over on desktop.
Thank you! I honestly played a bunch around with it before, and read a bunch of text on their website but didn't get it π
Dadamnphreaknoizphunk, Massive attack, thievery corporation, and sounds from the ground.
Polyphia. Mostly their stuff that doesn't have lyrics.
I have a sleep playlist that is just those buddhist meditation bell sounds. I leave that on most of the morning while I wake up and center myself.
Max Richter - Sleep
My ADHD brain always wants this hypnotic and grounding Yo La Tengo track.
The bass player deserves a Nobel peace prize.

Cool gif and thanks for sharing!
The lyrics are also pretty cool. I know there will be moments/moods where this song will hit me hard :)
To be honest the only words I can make out are "unplug the microphone, a different shade of [...]" and "slide, slide, slide down the water slide." and I still love it. Glad you appreciated it!
Lazer Guided Melodies always does it for me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkPPxLm50V0
Also the Neu! albums https://youtu.be/4pfrHyk50RQ
lofi.cafe
Playlist with East Forest, Porangui, Aphex Twin. I call it my KetaMix.
Checking out East Forest's Orbit album, pretty cool! I think it could go into MycologyMix too :)
Hah! I just started my amanita journey but I've kept my eye on the psilocybins. I know there's good things there but one step at a time.
I've always found post rock/metal to be pretty grounding to me.
few of my favorites. although i feel like the albums are worth listening through end to end as a lot of them transition and have a sort of journey element to them, if that makes sense
I like using Jazzhop Cafe to calm the mind and fall asleep. Here's my favorite vid/compilation: https://youtu.be/tgI6PjEq0O8
I also like space themed music. This one is from a channel called "Meditation Relax Music". https://youtu.be/RPnbS2o-tqU
And I like "Lofi Rock" for when I'm writing code or studying. Its basically just instrumentals, no vocals. https://www.youtube.com/live/1EChsxRI4Zg
Stuff like this
"The Man Who Made a Monster Song by Dance With the Dead β§ 2017"
Float in the direction of the notes. You can keep your mind quite empty.
