Fuck them!

They voted pedohitler knowing he'll deport non-whites only because they thought they were part of "the good ones*. They wanted the turd to deport other latinos.

If there is a collective I am greatly enjoying to see in hell right now, that's the non-whites who voted for him. They deserve all they are getting now.

My In-laws are Hispanic first Gen illegal border crossers who voted Trump twice. They are all citizens now, but one family member is not a full citizen yet. To this day, they say....

  • He's anti-abortion
  • We are getting stimulus checks
  • He's a good business man
  • He's getting rid of just the bad ones

That's it. That's the only points they talk about. They ignore any evidence to the contrary. Also ignoring the fact that a member of their own family will at some point be a target for deportation.

The "good businessman" part is especially baffling.

[–] hopesdead@startrek.website 7 points 1 month ago

I dare anyone to list one thing he did as a businessman that was “good”. I doubt they could do it.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 18 points 1 month ago

That’s a really common trump supporter position.

They seriously Do Not Want To Know.

I'm from Miami, the local Español radio was wild with the dick sucking leading up to the election.

[–] Gerudo@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 month ago

Yeah the Spanish stations here are the same

[–] andyburke@fedia.io 7 points 1 month ago

Your in-laws crossed the border illegally, you say?

i bet one or more of them are on MEDI-CAID, AND MEDI-CARE, or ACA socialist programs.

If you ever needed proof that you married into the wrong family...

My wife is an amazing person. The sisters are great people too. They are very progressive and don't believe the same at all. It's the parents that for whatever reason believe the poison of Trump. The ones of the family who are super religious are the ones who align with Trump. Go figure.

[–] alsimoneau@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 month ago

Religion is a poison. It teaches to believe the words of the group leader overs critical thought and reality.

I don't for the life of me know how they overlooked his obvious racism or assumed it wouldn't be directed towards them because they were already in the US. Frankly, they deserve what's happening to them,

For years I told anyone who'd listen that the Democrats assumption that because someone is black or brown, they are an automatic vote for Democrats, was incorrect and tremendously racist. This racist attitude encouraged the Democrats to completely ignore the needs and the existence of black and brown communities. Doing a camera op at a black church on election year isn't enough.

It was that same racist attitude that failed to look past skin color and to the cultural differences. There is a lot of misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, racism, and conservative values in black, brown, and immigrant communities. I have Indian acquaintances that are so conservative they'd make Stephen Miller blush. The most homophobic and misogynistic people I know are all POC. The MAGAts recognized this, played it up, and exploited the Democratic abandonment.

Dems need to stop being so fucking racists, get off their asses and actually attempt to help people of color and immigrants. Simply "avoiding further harm" isn't enough. The people of Minnesota are out in the cold streets fighting for their immigrant neighbors. That carries weight. Eating a taco on camera does not. Fighting for the rights of LGBTQ+ until you are bloodied (literally or figuratively), carries weight. Wearing a rainbow pin at a photo op does not.

What do you mean, they didn't ignore race, Kamala was not-white! That clearly shows they support minorities!

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 1 month ago

one thing that unifies them is the mysogyny and sexism, besides race.

[–] lobut@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I feel as though the word racist is overloaded in your rant. It definitely is correct in your usage of it though.

It is racist to assume that minorities will automatically vote Democrat. Although I thought it's been known for a while now that Latinos lean more right wing (for some reason I thought Asian-Americans would lean more right but it seems it was 60+% democrat). Also, we've had things such as more black people voting against Gay rights bills so yes, we can't put all minority behaviours in the same bucket. But yes, that assumption is racist.

However, the racism that ICE has to lock people up without due process and stuff.

It feels like two different words to me.

Sounds to me like the Republicans are so diverse in their bigotry that any one group shares at least one similar form of hatred and nothing is quite as uniting as shared negativity.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world -3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Dems need to stop being so fucking racists

.ml

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social 2 points 1 month ago

Fuck, .ml, but this is a really bad take. Democrats are just as racist as Republicans, they're just not bloodthirsty. They cynically use race with token candidates and demographic manipulations in order to avoid actually having to do anything in office.

[–] Rentlar@lemmy.ca 22 points 1 month ago (4 children)

An 11% drop is significant, but how 38% of Latinos still supporting a leader that wants to detain them, friends and family warrantlessly makes me scratch my head.

[–] jabeez@lemmy.today 11 points 1 month ago

1/4 - 1/3 of any population are just shitty people.

[–] chuckleslord@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

Abortion is a big deal to catholics, and a lot of them are catholic

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 5 points 1 month ago

fox propaganda, plus religious groups target religiousity of hispanic immigrants for insular capture.

[–] FenderStratocaster@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago

Before the election: "I got in legally, they should too."

As they are getting deported for being brown: "Hey, wait, I got in legally! I am one of you!"

all those brown people getting harassed on the street sure did support this? Any woman who voted for trump and gets raped, did they get what they deserved too? Im not a fan of this wholesale "brown people bad cuz theyre too stupid to vote the way i voted" is weird on lemmy

i cant see marx saying alnything like that because its fucking nonsense lol

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

Only some of them? These idiots don't understand they are in line for ICE removal?

[–] atro_city@fedia.io 6 points 1 month ago

They tried to pull up the ladder but were kicked off the platform.

[–] Greddan@feddit.org 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Turns out speaking a latin language instead of a germanic one doesn't necessarily make you smart.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

speaking latin might confuse hispanic people.

[–] Typotyper@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago

It defiantly confused one person

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Republicans sent trump back to power, not Hispanic voters.

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 4 points 1 month ago

I find it interesting how everyone but conservatives are to blame for electing Trump
