Nice try, Mr Sainsburys.

Ahh crap my cover is blown
I am slightly surprised Heinz scores so high as expected some of the own brands are the same but cheaper. Not going to lie though, it is my favourite so I wait for a deal then stock up.
What really surprises me is that Holland and Barret have their own brand?!? Does it come with extra vitamins or some health claims that it cures leprosy?
The H&B ones were absolutely awful. They were loaded up with all kinds of herby flavours that just ruined it. Like someone had just haphazardly emptied their spice shelf into there without caring about which ones are actually going to work.
They were also one of the more expensive ones on the list!
Sounds awful! Half the point of beans is that you know what you're getting and it works for certain dishes. If you want to upgrade them you can but it needs to be the same starting point. I love masala beans (something like https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/recipe/masala-beans but my own version) from time but a herby mix would be horrible. I'm not doing that for an English brekky though, just a bit of brown sauce on the side.
Now this is the content I look forward to!
May have to try Sainsbury’s beans soon.
Needs to be randomised double blind with control samples to be truly accurate.
^but I'll be getting me some of those sainsburys beans^
I wonder if you can add a chart showing sugar (X-axis) and fat (Y-axis). I'd be interested to see of Sainsbury's one is just sweeter
Interesting that Heinz scored so highly, seeing as they are 99% liquid.
Bold Bean Co are selling a tin of beans for £2.60?? Jesus
These were my personal favourite, but they're awful for normal bean usage. The sauce was like what you'd get on a fancy Italian pizza, and the beans themselves were massive. So, delicious but no good with a full English or on toast.
Also if you look at the photo of the tin pyramid, they're the little jar you can see up front. So not only are the jars mad pricey, they're also tiny.
When you say massive, like how big?
Reckon they were still haricots?
Hope this picture does it justice! I dunno if they're haricots or what to be honest. You can also see the fancy pizza sauce they were steeped in quite clearly.

They big, it'll probably have to say on the tin if that's still kicking about
How were your farts after this beaning sesh?
We reckon we only ate approx. one tin of beans each in total. So about as bad as you'd expect from that!
After tasting 23 different bean brands, I tell you what else got tested ca. 12-18 hours later: the local sewers.
This is magnificent. Quite literally elevating British culture to a science
Good work op!
I can confirm the ocado beans are very good but I suspect they are actually the same as m&s. I can't tell the difference.
IMPORTANT WORK IS BEING DONE!
