Wow refs are REALLY helping out Rams. They stopped the game for 2 minutes to let Sean McVay decide if he wants to challenge the call or not and didn't charge him for the time out? That's some BS
Both offenses seem to be moving well against stout defenses in the early going.
Man, what an answer to that muffed punt! The Rams have too much experience to just go away.
That drive was something to see.
Are they allowed to slam the QB like that in a sack? I thought it was against the rules!
I think the Seahawks fans in the stadium saw it the way you did. It’s a penalty if you drive the qb into the ground, but they didn’t do that here. It looked clean to me.
I am pretty sure they put in a rule against slamming down QBs after Doug Flutie got slammed on the ground during a sack in San Diego way back in 90s I think. I don't think he played another game after that.
Not sure about the rule, but I know Flutie played in this game (after the 90’s)
Yeah I forgot the years (just looked up. 2001) but after that year (after that game) he was pretty much done. He was too little the linemen too big and they tossed him around and slammed him on the field like a ragdoll. He was a tough MF to still be able to function after those punishments. And I remember watching that game!
This game is nuts.
It feels like Matthew Stafford is going to will this team to a win

As someone who’s spent almost my whole life (so far) between New England and Seattle… damn now I’m torn.
Pretty simple to me. Hawks don't have as many superbowls. Darnold is a redemption story.

Let's see if defenses start to handle the offenses here. It's still low scoring but there's been only 1 punt in the entire half so far. Tells you offenses have been moving the ball against these tough defenses.

NFL really lucked out this weekend, a good chunk of the country is snowed in with nothing better to do than watch the game, but both games are outside the storm.
Denver turned into a snow game at the end, but it's nothing compared to if the game had been in Buffalo or Foxborough
If that game were in the Northeast, they probably would have pulled it back to Saturday

Stidham is who we thought he was.
Yeah, he was a backup in New England when it came time to think about who was going to replace Brady. If Stidham was the guy, they’d have kept him. He wasn’t a disaster, but there’s a reason he’s not a starter in the NFL.
That wasn't much of a game, terrible conditions for the 2nd half there
See, I LOVED those conditions for a Championship game! The game play got poor, but hey, gotta figure out how to play in those conditions if your team is in Denver or New England.
My season ended in Mid-December when Mahomes got injured. And this was also right around when the news broke that Clark Hunt successfully held our team for ransom to get his six billion from the public that he doesn't need, and that's going to hurt the public on the Kansas side even though they don't realize it yet.
So I'm not massively interested in football right now.

All those player association surveys say Chiefs have the cheapest owners so I'm not surprised. He's gotta treat the players better after all the superbowl wins.
