Nice photos, you captured the essence of winter.

winter forests are the best, thanks for these
A few more with just the frost.

I remember being a kid and trying to take pictures with a non-digital camera of a tree, entirely coated in clear frozen ice, on top of a high hill in a pasture during the early morning hours.
The tree looked like it was covered in shiny rainbow glitter, unfortunately my rinky dink camera (and having no photography knowledge) was unable to capture that. It just looked like a naked tree on a bright day.
Yeah I wish my shitty phone camera could convey the magical glitter, but it so can't.
It was literally raining glitter the other day as the sun was shining and it's very cold. I tried to take a video of it, but of course the glitter wasn't visible in the video at all.

That sounds amazing.
It is.
It's been so still this past week that the trees have accumulated a thick layer of glittery frost. As I was walking today, a slight breeze hit some trees as I went by them and blew the frost into the air as the sun was shining from behind them. Incredible glitter show yet again.
"At the end of my walkie I took a lift to my flat."
In British English this describes a normal, peaceful day.
In American English this describes an extremely stressful day.
Thankfully I'm neither terf islander nor burgerlander so to me walkies is just
.
Finnish nature is wonderful. I used to hate winter, but after learning how to properly dress, and buying microspikes for my boots, I enjoy it almost as much as summer. I miss the sun though.
It genuinely is, the best thing in the country.
I love autumn and winter especially, they are my autism seasons. But I do love me a cool summer too.
