The rules for posting and commenting, besides the rules defined here for lemmy.world, are as follows:

Rules (interactive)

Rule 1- All posts must be legitimate questions. All post titles must include a question.

All posts must be legitimate questions, and all post titles must include a question. Questions that are joke or trolling questions, memes, song lyrics as title, etc. are not allowed here. See Rule 6 for all exceptions.

Rule 2- Your question subject cannot be illegal or NSFW material.

Your question subject cannot be illegal or NSFW material. You will be warned first, banned second.

Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.

Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Questions which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.

Rule 6- Regarding META posts and joke questions.

Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-question posts using the [META] tag on your post title.

On fridays, you are allowed to post meme and troll questions, on the condition that it's in text format only, and conforms with our other rules. These posts MUST include the [NSQ Friday] tag in their title.

If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.

Rule 7- You can't intentionally annoy, mock, or harass other members.

If you intentionally annoy, mock, harass, or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here. This includes using AI responses and summaries.

Probably with help from Bill Barr. How many pedophiles does it take to remove the green thing?

I still reckon the Queen had him offed.

...on the night he died.

The night he was garroted?

Very convenient indeed... and did I mention that the cameras didn't work that day?

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 2 points 53 minutes ago (1 children)

They did, just not for the window of time he “hung himself”. Oh and the camera didn’t cover an area where people could walk from the stairs to his cell and back. And he had just gotten off the phone with one of his girlfriends in Belarus.

Just coincidence though.

Some worked but the important ones didn’t. This one was the closest to recording the door, and is the one you’re referring to: New footage from the day he died with no cut before midnight

This man shot himself 16 times then buried himself in a shallow grave...

[–] cecilkorik@piefed.ca 3 points 3 hours ago

It was shallow because he was bleeding out at the time from all the gunshot wounds, give him a break, he did his best.

What you should take away from this is not that suicide is difficult in prison, but rather that suicide is so common they have specific policies in place.

It makes 10000% perfect sense that Epstein would kill himself. He just got busted down to the justice system tier for mortal Americans and his life was over. People killing themselves in this situation is so common that it's a trope in media.

The idea that some CIA-Mossad-Legion of Doom joint operation to assassinate him is the claim that's short on evidence.

[–] bearboiblake@pawb.social 14 points 2 hours ago (2 children)

He had blackmail material on politicians, authors, billionaires, thought leaders, presidents and princes. If I was in his place, I'd be sitting pretty comfortably, thinking "there's no way they can take me down with the justice system without taking themselves down too. I'm too big to fail." literally the only risk would be being assassinated by those you have blackmail material on.

how is this not obvious?

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 3 points 2 hours ago

Exactly, his girlfriend is doing exactly that

[–] yesman@lemmy.world -1 points 1 hour ago

It's not obvious to people who like evidence. What you describe is called suspicion.

Suspicion is a reason to start look for evidence, not a reason to stop.

Your opinion is that secret assassins killed a man in prison. And you aren't interested or even curious to back that up with anything.

I'm not going to just buy "secret prison assassins" without any evidence that they even exist. Especially when 'jailbird kills himself' is reasonable and likely.

[–] Wrufieotnak@feddit.org 13 points 3 hours ago

Normally I would agree, but this one does have really strange occurrences. First there is no camera feed, then the camera feed released is strangely missing exactly the time around his death. Like how many strange occurrences does it take for you to say: wait a minute, why is it so hard for them to prove everything happened as they said.

[–] MotoAsh@piefed.social 3 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago)

Naaaahhhh, WAY too many conveniences for it to be anything but an inside job. Sure, the evidence is circumstantial, but people have been put on death row for less.
