What a beautiful gift this XHS user received from his father!

The Winter Olympics is dope as fuck. Yesterday I was really invested in curling. Today got me yelling at the ice skating. Really impressive performances.

Fuck the IOC though. Fuckers can't even ban Israel.

Lemmygrad Continues to Show Resilience in the Face of Extraordinary Challenges

11.02.2026

Starting from the 9th of February 2026, many users have reported that images on Lemmygrad have not been functioning as expected. A large amount of older images in posts, comments, and profile pictures have become unavailable across Lemmygrad communities.

This issue was not caused by any failure of Lemmygrad's infrastructure, rather due to an unexpected and untimely disruption to one of Lemmygrad's primary logistical partners.

Since its founding, Lemmygrad has had to overcome many unique challenges not faced by projects less hostile to capital. A lot of diligence went into finding reliable hosting partners, a task made considerably more difficult given the project's orientation. On Lemmy, it has been the target of strategic defederation campaigns, anti-communist propaganda in liberal and anarchist communities, and has been placed on a hard-coded block-list for Piefed, an explicitly neoliberal and NATO-friendly alternative to Lemmy.
At the time of writing, it is not known whether the disruption and reported decommissioning of Lemmygrad's multimedia host is another deliberate act of anti-communist hostility.

Regardless of the cause of disruption, Lemmygrad has once again addressed the challenge with the utmost urgency and resolve. Respected comrade @muad_dibber@lemmygrad.ml has managed to establish relations with another logistical partner, minimise the potential damage from the incident, and is working tirelessly to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Whereas many other communities may have faltered and expressed frustration, the Lemmygrad community rallied around their comrades, showing support and appreciation for their efforts in addressing the issue.

Lemmygrad has not only overcome challenges like these every time, but has also never turned down the call to assist its friends and partners when needed. During the notorious Hexbear domain incident, an existential issue for the socialist instance, The Embassy of Hexbear on Lemmygrad was established to provide refuge and an open line of communication and coordination for Hexbear users.
It has also provided a community for feedback, recruitment and support for sister project ProleWiki.

Lemmygrad has shown itself time and time again to be a reliable partner, but increasingly finds itself having to rely on self-sufficiency. It is not yet known what the long-term solutions for such challenges will look like; what is known is that Lemmygrad, with the support of its community, will always overcome them.

P.S.This comment is a satirical dramatisation and embellishment of recent events. Don't take it serious, it's just for fun.

Why would I not take such a well written and informative press release seriously? The tone and cadence is masterful. The content is factual and optimistic. 10/10

I liked reading it though. For the most part, feels like the kind of press release lemmygrad would have if it was a socialist state project.

Anyone have suggestions on books that go into how religion is used to brainwash global south populations with pro-colonial propaganda?

It seems a lot of the people in my homeland are getting more culty on cultural issues than actually working to address material issues.

[–] Marat@lemmygrad.ml 9 points 1 day ago

There's a guy in my stats class that looks uncannily like JT from second thought. Like I saw him and stared at him for a minute trying to realize how I recognized him lol

[–] Darkerseid@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Its amalgamation of every horrible dictatorships, ideologies(Facism, Stalinist, Monarchist and etc) , feudalism (Tyrant Kings from Bronze age to Medieval Era) and religion (Every religions from earth and turn them all into extremism)

stalinist lmao. are all 40k idiotic like this?

[–] pyromaiden@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 6 hours ago

Some of us are actually literate!

Sadly a lot of 40k fans are only there because "space marine cool".

[–] ExotiqueMatter@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Where did you quote that from?

[–] Darkerseid@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 42 minutes ago

it is part of some argument I had with a darktide player

Recently had my first proper discussion about Marxism-Leninism with a colleague. I have realised I need a well thought out plan, as my mind was full of responses but no structure to properly create a correct introductory discourse.

Any advice on how to slowly introduce someone without immediately scaring them off? Fighting against years of anti-communist and anti-china/dprk propaganda makes it harder than expected

[–] Commiejones@lemmygrad.ml 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Like dudithebudi said listen to them and respond. Think of it like improv, they say a subject, (any subject) and you say "yes, and... its capitalism's fault" (some people might respond better to the ruling class, the billionaires, big corporations, etc) Nearly every problem comes back to capitalism, even the weather.

Once you have established that the problem is capitalism you say "and under communism that problem wont happen." and as they scoff and say "but communism never works" (or whatever other slander they have against communism) you say "Who told you that? Capitalists. bit of a conflict of interest there hey?" "capitalists have a monopoly on education, media, art, and culture, and they use that control to demonize their only legitimate rival." Then send them to Yellow Parenti.

[–] SpaceJack@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 1 day ago

Yellow Parenti jumpscare. Thanks for the response comrade. They seem to be open to dialogue so I'll try again with this approach. I think the recent events (Epstein, Cuba etc.) have already "softened" the general population to the idea that maybe capitalism isn't really all that great, so that might give a good starting point.

[–] dudithebudi@lemmygrad.ml 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Just listen to them about their general complaints about capitalism and then show them the actually existing benefits that socialism can bring them. Radicalization doesn't come from arguments about Stalin, it comes from just showing them that their complaints and frustrations are valid and are an issue with their economic system, and that a superior alternative has, indeed existed. A great communist is a great listener, of course.

[–] SpaceJack@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

A great communist is a great listener

That's a nice way to put it, and it's very true. Thanks for the response comrade. I can see the benefits of this approach. Eventually we'll find common ground on the current issues and problems of society, and showing how they all are in fact direct symptomps of capitalism instead of "coincidences" would definitely have a greater effect. I'll get my hands on all our sources and get ready for a new occasion.

CEO of Vercel, Guillermo Rauch, is already facing community backlash for publicly supporting Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, a move that’s led to boycotts and migrations off the platform among developers. All my homies hate Vercel.

Turns out CEO wants to make generous contribution towards hosting Jmail (because hosting fees are high). This generousity is because of that.

The right wingers cumming in their pants over the new Japanese PM not knowing she's going to go ahead with a mass immigrant acceptance plan is hilarious

[–] PleasantPeasant@lemmygrad.ml 11 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

goofy thought: u know all these bourgeoisie pedophile scum didnt stop after epstein got caught, who do yall think is the new epstein? my money's on thiel

[–] Ronin_5@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 1 day ago

Probably some nobody.

How many of you knew who Epstein was before he supposedly killed himself?

[–] Commiejones@lemmygrad.ml 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It wont be one of the billionaires. Epstien was not born into that world he shoe horned himself in. Also there are dozens of fixers like him even if he was the best connected one. He was the coca cola of his industry and since he departed the market other cola brands have been working to fill the void.

[–] PleasantPeasant@lemmygrad.ml 8 points 1 day ago

you're probably right. i just picked thiel cause he's really weird and also has his finger everywhere in a lot of weird places

[–] 6kb_@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

[–] Commiejones@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 1 day ago

thats not your fault. the image server is in a state of flux.

[–] pyromaiden@lemmygrad.ml 16 points 2 days ago (1 children)

🫵 You WILL have hope, comrade.

Ugh fine 🙄

[–] SlayGuevara@lemmygrad.ml 25 points 2 days ago (2 children)

The 'probably quit this week' turned into overdrive as I decided to rip the band aid right off and turn my resignation in today. It's done. Few weeks left at this place and then it is... nothing? No idea what I'm gonna do but I believe in myself.

[–] Oppo@lemmygrad.ml 15 points 2 days ago

Banger, good luck though

[–] Cowbee@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 2 days ago

You've got this, comrade!

[–] Ember_NE@lemmygrad.ml 9 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Hello Comrades. I felt a bit down while reading Socialism Betrayed and got an idea for a painting. It's called "Andropov's Burial". I thought maybe some of you would like it.

Remember, comrades, history is on our side!

Am I the only one for whom the image isn't rendering?

[–] AnarchoBolshevik@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

This has been going on for several hours now. It was an awkward moment when I was trying to show images from this site to somebody else through Zoom.

[–] PleasantPeasant@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

when I was trying to show images from this site to somebody else through Zoom.

why the hell are you using zoom

[–] AnarchoBolshevik@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Because I would rather talk to my friend through Zoom than a Google service or product.

Thoughts on the superbowl? I find it interesting that the NFL took this stance, some years ago they banned an athlete for protesting the national anthem due the police brutality and now they're hosting publicly anti-ICE artists.

There is also the chance that they saw this chance to target the latin women market, it was very succesful, many girl groups i know hosted superbowl parties just like men do to watch bad bunny lol. I myself don't like bad bunny at all but the girls adore him, i can appreciate him taking a stance on the issue, not that he took any risks since he literally got invited to perform at the superbowl, the top goal of any artist.

[–] starkillerfish@lemmygrad.ml 13 points 2 days ago

its definitely trying to appeal to liberal sensibilities, while hundreds of people that pass as latam are being arrested and deported

[–] PleasantPeasant@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

ultimately i think it's much much more disruptive to society and really to the NFL to have the players trying to spread a message about social justice than the superbowl halftime performer. Like, think about it this way: the halftime performer will be lucky to perform for the superbowl even twice, i think the most anyone has ever been on stage was 3 times from a quick search and even imagining some performer who first performs in the super bowl as like, a 12 year old i struggle to imagine them performing more than 5 times. meanwhile a player who takes a stand will be able to do so week after week for years, maybe even a decade+, and since he is an athlete he could inspire many other athletes to take a stand over those years, who could themselves inspire other athletes, etc.

Probably going to quit my job this week. Will have to work for like 3 months before it will stop though. Just sick and tired of it. But also nervous to quit lol.
