February 14th, 2026

  • Brush: Rad Dinosaur Creations "Stardust" - TurnNShave 26mm Shoat
  • Razor: Joseph Rogers & Sons Near Wedge (8)
  • Lather: Barrister and Mann - Paganini's Violin - Soap
  • Post Shave: Barrister and Mann - Paganini's Violin - Aftershave
  • Post Shave: Oleo & Co. - Facial Toner - Toner
  • Fragrance: Barrister and Mann - Lavender, Interrupted - EdT

Today's challenge soap is Barrister and Mann - Arctique. I don't have Arctique, but am happy to use Paganini's Violin instead. It's been too long since I've pulled this one out.

I'm pretty sure there's no way for me to match tomorrow's scent, so today my run ends. TBD whether I join TLC or just go back to killing some soaps. I'm leaning toward the latter.

This razor gave a comfortable two pass shave this morning, though the results were not as close as I'd prefer. I'm still learning how to best approach using this razor. The geometry feels quite different from my other, hollow ground razors. Almost like I need to come in at a steeper angle. More experimentation required!

Barberella SOTD - 2026-02-14 ❤️

  • Prep: Suavecito - Shave Cream and a hot towel
  • Brush: Dovo - Synthetic Olivewood
  • Razor: Feather - Artist Club SS Folding Razor
  • Blade: Feather - Artist Club ProGuard
  • Lather: Burmax - Lather Time Hot Lather Machine w/ Campbell's Shave Cream
  • Post Shave: Johnny B - P.M. After Shave

A shave and a haircut from the lady barber today. I'm going for an extra shave later in the day to stay ASS out, TLC in. I don't want to find out about the second-tier losers club. :)

Sextidi 26 Pluviôse an 234 de la Révolution, jour de Guède

I bought Floid The Genuine aftershave again. Why did I ever not have any? This is arguably the greatest aftershave ever.

Have a good day!
