He shit out a daughter who's just as depraved as he is. Fuck their entire bloodline, may they rot in satan's asshole

[–] 4grams@awful.systems 2 points 18 hours ago

So, back to where they came from then.

Hasn't this been his whole deal for years?

Isn't that why he got out on that detail?

Or was Trump just annoyed by him and put him there to get rid of him? That's the vibe I got.

By that same logic, the Italians have a right to the entire middle east because the Roman Empire engulfed it. Then the Ottoman's came and took it from them, so hey...I guess Turkey has a right to the entire middle east as well now.

Fuck Zionism.

Hey, so God just told me Im the rightful owner of the world.

Everyone get the fuck off my rock.

Entire Middle East Land.

Fuck you NBC for continuing to sanewash your batshit headlines on actual, batshit people saying batshit stuff. Just editing out ONE word changes the tone of this article for the millions of people who will glance at it and shrug.

They want ALL of the Middle East, Mike said they have a mandate or some such shit to be entitled to basically the entire nation of Egypt all the way across Iran and down across Saudi Arabia and the UAE. For those not proficient in geography, that's a region of land over half the size of the US and occupied by hundreds of millions of people, who likely do not want to be converted into rubble so that Israel can expand indefinitely.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

That's not even biblical. Israel has never controlled fucking Tehran, and they were routinely in exile in Iraq and Syria, not as conquerors but as conquered. No fuccabee only believes this because he's pro genocide, anti brown people, and hates Muslims more than jews.

[–] Mulligrubs@lemmy.world 59 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

He's not wrong from a BIBLICAL standpoint.

The Bible also says disobedient children should be murdered. The Bible says that if you rape a child, you have to give her dad $50 and marry her. The Bible is OBSESSED with foreskin collection.

It says a lot of very stupid tripe, that's why nobody bothers following it.

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The Bible is OBSESSED with foreskin collection.

That makes sense tho...

Like Old Testament was for the one group in the area who removed those as children. No adult spy would do that for cover, and it would take substantial time to heal to pass

So it wasn't "we love foreskins, gimmie them foreskins" as much as "give me the one thing that proved you killed an adult man who wasn't part of us".

It was genocide, if you weren't part of 'the tribe' you were an enemy and should be killed.

So yeah, totally evil, but logical.

Just So stories about the logical reason for genital mutilation don't hold water. Even in the Bible, there are accounts of how the Israelites could tell friend from foe: they did it by accent (search on "shibboleth" for more details), not by examining the guy's schwantz. Much easier from a safe distance.

Also, many other tribal societies also practiced circumcision and other forms of genital mutilation, some living adjacent to each other. And snipping is also practiced in Islam, which encompasses multiple nationalities.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 1 points 20 hours ago

"Shibboleth" was used in a battle between the Gileadites and the Ephramites. Both Israelite, both circumcised.

And Islam didn't exist in the old testament time; they are also an Abrahamic religion.

[–] waddle_dee@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago (3 children)

I always laugh at this argument, because there's a more amusing argument. Yeah, it's Israel's land and they're G-d's chosen people. But multiple times in the Bible G-d has taken that land from them and even had them enslaved by nearby nations! At this point in the mythos, G-d, the Messiah, has yet to reveal himself. He's still in silence lol So, based on all that, it sounds like Israel needs to take some responsibility for what they do.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 1 points 20 hours ago

The Israelites in the bible never took responsibility except for when they were forced to.

Modern Israel doesn't have any prophets. Looks like someone else is gonna have to hold them accountable.

[–] ErevanDB@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago (3 children)

"God" aint the lord's name, and even if you diduse his name, it wouldnt be in vain here, you good.

[–] waddle_dee@lemmy.world 2 points 18 hours ago

I was just gonna edit my post, and say this, but I think it's worthy as it's own post. I like how you bring up "in vain", because it's something I detest in the western Christian church mythos. they consider using G-d's name to be in vain whenever you say it out of the context of evangelism, almost. When, in fact, the use of in vain, is using G-d's name to justifying your crimes, is using Their name in vain. It's a pretty neat distinction in the Ancient Hebrew, that western Christianity has conveniently forgot. Thanks, Rome!

[–] waddle_dee@lemmy.world 2 points 21 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago) (1 children)

Thanks! I'm still gonna do it, because it's something a part of my life and spiritual journey! It really got started when I started listening to mewothoutYou and I really started looking at all religions more critically. I've ended up in a strange place, close to Samsara about it all lol.

Edit: In hindsight, "I'm still gonna do it" came out worse than I intended. I meant it more passive and sheepish, than cavalier.

[–] ErevanDB@lemmy.zip 2 points 15 hours ago

Understood! Hope you have a good day!

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

And worrying about the appropriate nomenclature for mythical figures is an idle pastime.

[–] waddle_dee@lemmy.world 1 points 21 hours ago

It's not that I worry about it, it's a part of me. It's not something that I even really think about anymore, I just write it inherently. I actually had a wonderfully, rich conversation with a friend about it recently.

Thanks for asking if that's something I worry about instead of belittling me!

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You can write god. Nothing happens. You look like a fool.

[–] waddle_dee@lemmy.world 2 points 21 hours ago

Thanks for the advice! I will still write G-d out because I like it and it's a part of my spiritual journey! I'm very big into Samsara and I really like the Hebrew tradition of not writing out G-d's name from holiness and not wanting to destroy it!

I appreciate you asking why I do it, instead of just calling me a fool with no prior knowledge of me as a person. That could've really hurt my feelings and put a damper on my day, so I appreciate all your kind words!

[–] Pyr_Pressure@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Blows my mind that anyone can support this "God given right" to land for Israel while at the same time denying indigenous first Nations in America.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 22 hours ago

They're exactly the same thing: support for genocide against indigenous people and for theft of their land.

[–] Mrkawfee@feddit.uk 29 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Christian Zionism is a deranged cult.

[–] paul@lemmy.org 1 points 20 hours ago

All religions are cults

[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago

Christianity too, honestly. Most of it's time at least.

[–] thorhop@sopuli.xyz 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Well I have a God given right to punch Huckabee straight in the face.

It's in the Bible, somewhere...

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

He wouldn't know if it was or wasn't. He pretended to be a preacher.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Excited to hear Mike Huckabee's other theories on which ethnic groups enjoy sovereignty over which geographic regions

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Turns out he thinks the Zulus hold an inalienable right to the whole of Myanmar /s

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Sorry. A bronze age manuscript says so. No arguing with that.

[–] Chough@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

I think the channel is trying to downplay the comments to make them sound more normal and sane.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Religious rationalizations are irrelevant.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 days ago

Bullshit, yes. Irrelevant, no. Sometimes they lead to real-world consequences that harm or kill innocent people.

[–] HenriVolney@sh.itjust.works 9 points 2 days ago

You've got to be able to expand that Lebensraum though

[–] LibertyLizard@slrpnk.net 5 points 2 days ago (2 children)
[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 22 hours ago

More's the pity.

[–] ChunkMcHorkle@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

I'd like to see that progress rapidly to a natural conclusion, honestly. Thankfully he's not in the news much anymore, but all things considered it would be harder to find a bigger gaping asshole even in this land of self-glorified assholes, which is currently enjoying its own golden age of assholery. He's like asshole emeritus now.

[–] Mrkawfee@feddit.uk 2 points 1 day ago

Lindsey Graham.

[–] Greyghoster@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago

But God and Allah are the same entity?! Is he sure Allah is keen on this?

[–] zr0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 days ago

All because of their foreskin kink.

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

By the logic of the old testament of the Bible, wouldn't the Jews have a right to the entire earth?

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

As long as the follow God's orders, which include treating the stranger among you as an equal. But then there are also contradictory orders. It's lose/lose being the chosen people. What it really means is being singled out for abuse by a capricious, brutally authoritarian, abusive father-figure.

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 1 points 22 hours ago

which include treating the stranger among you as an equal.

And then kill them on Sundays for not following their religious rules.
