Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.

Fuck news websites.

Oh I thought he was suddenly hinged

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 110 points 1 day ago (4 children)

I’m more disappointed by the US hockey team deciding have a celebrity locker room party with Kash Patel.

[–] partial_accumen@lemmy.world 42 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I mean, I expect a hockey team to be in its locker room. Did they actively invite Patel, or did Patel just show up uninvited. I think its the latter, right?

[–] MeekerThanBeaker@lemmy.world 37 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Probably the latter, but they didn't seem too annoyed that he was in there... even putting a medal around him.

[–] n4ch1sm0@piefed.social 28 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

They all seemed pretty chummy with him to me. Embarrassing.

What the fuck... so cringe

[–] Someonelol@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 day ago

To be fair they're athletes and might have had no idea who this random ass guy with clearance to be there was so they just rolled with it.

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Yes most definitely! Seeing that POS celebrating with them really spoiled the whole thing.

[–] Substance_P@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Kash Patel, America's answer to Salt Bae.

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 67 points 1 day ago (1 children)

If I were that guy that actually scored the goal, I would be super pissed. Putting in all that work, then losing teeth earlier in the game but still playing, then gutting out that last play, only to have the President pretend to be him without putting in all that work.

Now that I think about it, though, it is a direct allegory for Donald Trump's life. Always taking credit for the achievements of others, and putting his name on buildings he did not build himself.

[–] yonderbarn@lazysoci.al 2 points 17 hours ago

The player that scored the goal laughed along with everyone else. To top if off, his own mother is a former US women's hockey player.

[–] Redvenom@retrolemmy.com 6 points 22 hours ago

Dude can't even hold a glass of water like a human

[–] dizzle18@lemmy.zip 29 points 1 day ago (3 children)

It always amazes me how the people who couldn’t stop crying about Kaepernick taking a knee for the anthem (wahhhh don’t mix politics with sports waahhhh), suddenly don’t have shit to say when the director of the fucking FBI is partying with the US hockey team.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 3 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago)

It's not amazing at all. They're hypocrites. The only principle the adhere to is no accountability for themselves and totalitarian repression for everyone else.

[–] EndlessNightmare@reddthat.com 3 points 22 hours ago

who couldn’t stop crying about Kaepernick taking a knee for the anthem

Them: "Don't protest in a violent, destructive, or even mildly inconvenient manner"

Kaepernick "Ok..."

Them: "No, not like that!" (Quiet part): "Just stfu and don't protest at all."

Kaepernick's method was absolutely genius because it doesn't even cause any sort of obstruction or mild inconvience. People crying about it were really telling on themselves.

[–] ExtremeDullard@piefed.social 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I don't mind the director of the fucking FBI partying with the US hockey team.

What I do mind is the director of the fucking FBI partying with the US hockey team on the taxpayers' dime.

[–] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 29 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Idk. Is Trump's distraction theatre really worth engaging with?

[–] CobblerScholar@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

Kinda working the opposite way these days. Every wild headline is a glaring reminder that he's certainly a child rapist and he has no skill at anything except being awkward and gross

[–] minorkeys@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago (1 children)

How long until he demands an Olympic gold medal of his own?

[–] brygphilomena@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I was joking with my friends wondering when he'd steal one of the gold medals. Either like when he stole the FIFA medal or like Putin stole the Superbowl ring.

[–] ThePowerOfGeek@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (3 children)

You mean when he stole/coerced the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize into giving it to him? The FIFA peace prize was designed specifically for him, so the fuckheads FIFA could ingratiate themselves to him. Same with that bullshit 'clean coal hero' award.

But I get it, there are so many fake and stolen award shenanigans going on with him it's difficult for anyone to keep track.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 5 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Or the time he visited a wounded soldier, and hinted around until the guy actually offered his Purple Heart to him, and Trump actually took it, saying "I always wanted one of these!"

Here's the thing: Near the end of WW2, when America was preparing for an invasion of Japan, and anticipating horrifying casualties, they ordered millions of Purple Heart Medals. But the invasion never happened, and every Purple Heart handed out since, has come from that inventory, and they aren't even close to denying it. They've never had to make another one.

So if Trump wanted a Purple Heart so badly, all he'd have to do is make a call to Hegseth, and a Marine in dress blues would be hand delivering it within 30 minutes. But No, he had to take one from some young soldier, after haranguing him into submission.

What a Putz.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

What a Putz.

My putz has gotten me into some trouble here and there, but has generally been a positive force in my life. Trump's more a hemorrhoid.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 15 hours ago

You mean when he stole/coerced the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize into giving it to him?

She's fasc-adjacent at best, a long-time Trump toady, and so she almost certainly did it without coercion.

[–] sickday@fedia.io 2 points 1 day ago

I think they were talking about the 2025 FIFA World Cup. not sure how much you can trust The White House or Trump, but dude claims they kept the 'original' FIFA 2025 World Cup Trophy lol and you're right it's very difficult to keep track at this point.

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Remember Putin trying to pretend to be good at hockey too?

[–] hector@lemmy.today 4 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Yeah he played on a team, and the opposing team let him score 4 goals, and putin was old too, like he should've been embarrassed to have people let him win like that.

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

I know it's never gonna happen because Donald knows deep inside how pathetic he is but... Man wouldn't it be amazing if he tried to do this in real life and fight a Canadian hockey player? He'd probably fall and break a hip long before he has a chance to though.

[–] ThePowerOfGeek@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That's some strong 'Monty Burns in the sack race' vibes.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 1 points 18 hours ago

The message was through after the first three words.

[–] Chippys_mittens@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

I can think of some significantly more unhinged things he's definitely on video doing in some pretty important files.

[–] brendansimms@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

fuck that pedophile

[–] ExtremeDullard@piefed.social 8 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

He's barely clever enough to be a puck: he's the center of attention alright, but he's dumb as, well, a lump of rubber, and he's being pushed around by clever players.

[–] YoSoySnekBoi@kbin.earth 3 points 1 day ago

Sounds exactly like him tbh

[–] numbermess@fedia.io 4 points 1 day ago

"Unhinged" is not really a word with any value anymore as it relates to him. It implies that he's crazy, but he is not. He's got a rotten brain and a rotten soul and he works in the service of America's/Humanity's enemies. That's not "unhinged", that's just plain hostility and malevolence.

[–] mrmacduggan@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 day ago

I instinctively downvoted this out of pure disgust. Then undid it because unfortunately this is relevant news, not his post. Yuck.

[–] 64bithero@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

For the love of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Please leave Hockey out of this please.. :Barf:

[–] doug@lemmy.today 4 points 1 day ago

At this point I’d be more surprised if he did something with hinges.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago

Promoting the restoration of tourism.

[–] CalmChaos72@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

I feel gross actually watching that garbage.

I also am convinced people will think it’s real or at least think he’s cool for posting it.
