My theory is, I saw one of the USA team members say representing the USA right now has brought up conflicting feelings for him, which riled the orange idiot up, so I figure they sent old Patel over there to send a signal and intimidate the olympian, and also warn him not to have any more public outbursts, "or else".
Of course I haven't paid any attention to the olympics other than that one headline, so maybe he just went to revel in his own corruption. Who knows.
