“But for the seventh chevron, I say ‘chevron seven LOCKED’”

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 30 points 1 week ago

100% the best line in the show.

No one told me to say that, I just thought I should

Real fans know it's The M.A.L.P.

First to fight. Heroes, one and all.

[–] chicken@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 week ago

Those brave souls

To be fair, General Hammond was part of the Stargate program since 1969

[–] FordBeeblebrox@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

GENERAL?

A young LT says

[–] dumbass@piefed.social 7 points 1 week ago

This is the correct answer.

[–] Adderbox76@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

My first thought as well. Wasn't the actor also the stunt coordinator for the series?

[–] remedia@piefed.social 4 points 1 week ago

Yes he was, as far as I can remember.

"This is a weapon of war"

[–] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 20 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Danial Jackson, obviously.

[–] Agent641@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Nah he barely rates. Didn't even show up for a few seasons.

Just when you needed a humorous on the job injury.

What took you so long?

Whack!

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 week ago

Damn right, they tried to kill off his character but he just kept coming back.

The statistically correct answer by screen time, followed by Teal'c, O'Neill, Jackson, then Hammond, in that order.

[–] _NetNomad@fedia.io 11 points 1 week ago

Obviously the MALP- everyone else just follows it

[–] Linktank@lemmy.today 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It's very clearly Daniel.

Nobody else has as many deaths, or important plot points centered around them.

He figured the dang thing out in the first place. No Daniel, no show. That cannot be applied to any other character.

Counterpoint: This dude. Reason: I just think he's neat

[–] Linktank@lemmy.today 5 points 1 week ago

Great actor, funny character. I think he deserves an honorable mention at the very least.

[–] kbal@fedia.io 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The United States Air Force.

As someone who has never seen Stargate, I'm gonna say it's the guy in the picture.

[–] mushroommunk@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago

Hey so I've got the full box set and 8 lbs of pork shoulder to turn into pulled pork. We can probably get through a season while I do that and make some mac and cheese. Let's go

[–] Speiser0@feddit.org 5 points 1 week ago (2 children)

They should make a Stargate Center show, which is like deepspace 9 or babylon 5 (note: I've never properly watched these two).

[–] mushroommunk@lemmy.today 2 points 1 day ago

Having seen all three shows (Stargate, DS9, and Babylon 5) I could absolutely see a Stargate show in the style of those two

[–] Disregard3145@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

I'm pretty sure Atlantis had an episode set entirely on midway.

[–] teft@piefed.social 4 points 1 week ago (2 children)
[–] Flying_Penguin@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 week ago

Thats what I'm saying. The show is named after it.

[–] Agent641@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Chappa'i

Stone circle

Annulus

Circ'kakona

The Ol' orifice

She goes by many names

Thor and his little grey butt

[–] henfredemars@infosec.pub 3 points 1 week ago

That’s one beautiful man.

Kevin. I've never SG-1, but you asked my opinion
