What is most infuriating is this is actually a pretty cute t-shirt and I was going to buy it before I realized that the text was nonsensical.

I hate when my stomach huarn surnog

[–] mkhopper@lemmy.world 24 points 1 week ago

That's actually an almost weekly occurrence for me, and I'm going to start using it.

"What should we have for dinner?" "Something light. I'm really huarn surnog today."

[–] Fabrik872@lemmy.blahaj.zone 12 points 1 week ago

It is really sad how little efford they put to design of this. I mean it really is not that hard to at least fix the text an keep the ai design. Someone will print dozens of those and quality check them etc. People making this will put more efford into each individual shirt than the designer. They dont have one drop of respect for people making this and material wasted for this ai garbage

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I remember in Thailand they had T-shirts with English print that made no sense.
At least it was legible and sometimes very funny

[–] katkit@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Kinda like we have Shirts with nonsensical Chinese characters.

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Or a tattoo if they're really smart

[–] SpookyBogMonster@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I've been watching a Slice of Life anime recently, called Non Non Biyori, which is about a group of kids who live in the middle of nowhere, Japan.

One of the more subtle running gags in the show, is that they wear shirts with nonsense English phrases on them, like "ARMYCRAWL", "Charge Girl", or "RoAsT".

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I bet it's everywhere.
Another Japanese one:

[–] Jimmycrackcrack@lemmy.ml 7 points 1 week ago

I saw a hat at a mall in Kyoto a few years ago that said "PREVIOUS WINNER" and I really regret not buying it lol

[–] TheTechnician27@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

and I was going to buy it before I realized that the text was nonsensical.

[–] glups@piefed.social 6 points 1 week ago

Fentanyl®️

[–] rami@ani.social 2 points 1 week ago

SAME. A bright spark of joy and then...

[–] vantablack@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 1 week ago

this would be such a cool shirt if it wasn't AI, damn

[–] Hoimo@ani.social 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It is a cute shirt and we could easily make it a reality:

  • Text from this poster
  • Plain clothes meguca
  • Some kind of GIMP-like software
  • A printer that does shirts (Redbubble)
[–] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yes, let's wear a shirt advertising the substance killing 80k people a year, many in fake pressed pills that used to be safe 10 years back.

[–] Mikina@programming.dev 6 points 1 week ago

I mean, it does spread awareness about it harmful effects and how to recognize them.

I'd say thats a good to tshirt to have.
