I genuinely do not understand how Solo Leveling got the adaptation it did. Like it has no real story, no real characters, it's just stuff happens for several hours then it's over, and the literal only quality at all that it has is the absolutely gorgeous spectacle of its lavishly animated fight scenes and the way Hiroyuki Sawano's score perfectly controls the tension and emotion of every scene to the point that the most vapid, pointless bullshit ever gives you chills, things that its dogshit longform webcomic source material completely lacks.
It'd be like Ctrl-Alt-Delete getting picked up for an adaptation by James Cameron and scored by Trent Reznor or some shit.
