Hell yeah, Spam is delicious

idk about spam dogs, but spam sandwiches are amazing. but also amazingly bad for you. maybe it's a southern thing. bread, mayo, spam. cook the spam until crispy like bacon. I prefer wheat bread because I'm southern but not "mt dew for breakfast" southern. add a slice of tomato if you want the healthier option.

Southern thing and Philippines/ Filipino thing and demographically-disadvantaged-americans-with-too-many-children thing, and any adults who grew up eating spam in childhood, and haven't yet learned how disgusting spam actually is, although it does taste amazing. Those are the people who eat spam.

I've been a vegetarian for ten years. I rarely get any sort of meat cravings at all anymore. But when I do, I crave SPAM.

I do not find this post uplifting. Is this like some thing I do not get because I am not american? cause this seems to be just a product launch

[–] mbp@slrpnk.net 1 points 1 day ago

It's a meme, but a good one.

Maybe I should try the stuff again, but I don't remember SPAM being the type of thing I would think to myself, "Yes, I want this stuff to be used to make a more delicious version of otherwise less delicious things" because honestly, the list of less delicious things was pretty small to begin with.

How the hell is this uplifting news? Spam is disgusting and is not healthy.

[–] radiofreebc@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

It's because, when we're all eating dog food in a few years, these will seem like the good old days.

[–] undefined@lemmy.hogru.ch 5 points 2 days ago

Oh yeah exactly what we need in this world, more meat products. Boooooooo

“We’re excited to be rolling out the Spam Dog and the opportunity it creates for foodservice operators to offer something both familiar and surprising,” said Haley Eggum, brand manager of the Spam brand. "It's a fresh new take on a hot dog with the unmistakable flavor that Spam fans know and love."

This is a joke, right?

Right?
