Attribute the artist or I'm removing this and banning you within a few hours.

I'm a simple man; I see a comic without attribution, I downvote and report it.

Was there ever a time Elon wasn't insane?

[–] CaptPretentious@lemmy.world 2 points 17 minutes ago

No, he's always been a lying, dipshit, con artist, weirdly obsessed with the letter X. A weird obsession with having kids. He sued the original creators of Tesla, so he could have the title of founder...

Only reason anybody knows he even exists is because Dad's money. Which ironically is the exact same thing for Trump...

[–] Skullgrid@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

yes. During his "occupy mars" arc, it was great that there was a rich person that was funding things like electric vehicles, batteries and most importantly , infrastructure, who was also talking about climate change as a serious issue and taking steps for a worst case scenario.

Then he started unraveling, around the time he started calling the rescue diving guy a pedo.

[–] Sarcasmo220@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

I dunno, I would argue anyone that hoards at least hundreds of millions of dollars is suffering from some type of mental health disorder.

[–] Skullgrid@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

IDK. Back then it seemed like he was cashing out his wealth to achieve that shit, which is expensive, so we didn't think too hard about it. Like if you owned half of pay pal, and wanted to spend billions on infrastructure, it made sense that you'd you know, wait and save before doing that.

I can't believe I typed that sentence out like that. fuck me.

[–] CaptPretentious@lemmy.world 1 points 10 minutes ago (1 children)

He wasn't cashing out anything. It was all a ploy for investors. If you look at the valuation of Tesla it is massively higher than any other car company. The Mars stuff was just a push again more valuation for SpaceX. Despite the fact that other scientists including people at NASA saying that his plan was not going to work, everything he said was just a publicity stunt to push investors so he can make an imaginary number go up.

Also he was fired from PayPal for incompetence.

[–] Skullgrid@lemmy.world 1 points 5 minutes ago

yes, thank you captain hindsight. It was nice to have someone building fucking infrastructure and making electric cars seem good.

Idiot cowards

[–] ArcaneSlime@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 6 hours ago

Tbf if I lived in one of the areas where they were getting vandalized for a time, I'd probably use the "don't vandalize me bro" sticker too.

Whose art did you steal this time?

Still downvoting beep every time.

[–] brucethemoose@lemmy.world 11 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago)

I'm reporting every time.

Removing attribution is just bad (and should break rules), but smurf accounts usually break instance rules.

[–] Nonconfrontational@lemmy.ml 2 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

How is his account not banned?

[–] moakley@lemmy.world 3 points 5 hours ago

He stopped cropping out the artists and, as far as I know, doesn't ruin them through AI first anymore. At least not in direct posts. Still downvoting every time though.

[–] Gonzako@lemmy.world 25 points 11 hours ago (3 children)

They have a policy of fully removing attribution of all the comics he posts, even going so far as to feed them to LLMs to try and remove hard to crop out artist marks

I warned my brother-in-law and sister-in-law about that fuckstick more than a decade ago. They laughed at me. Didn't phase them at all. When the Model Y released, they bought one. When Elmo revealed his full Nazi self (salute and all), they bought one of those bumper stickers. Later, they replace said Model Y with a new one and pull the bumper sticker off the old one and somehow reattach the used bumper sticker to the new one (you can tell it's the same sticker because it's all jacked up from being removed from the old car). Oh, and they were early adopters of Starlink. Sucking Nazi cock must be addictive because they can't seem to stop themselves.

[–] umbrella@lemmy.ml 2 points 8 hours ago

they want to support the nazi without the social fallout.

There was once a point where Tesla was the only viable long range EV. Nowadays there is no excuse - the other EVs on the market are cheaper and better.

I saw one of these stickers for the first time yesterday out in the wild.

Americans_irl

[–] Slashme@lemmy.world 15 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Is there any info on the artist, or did it get stripped out of the comic by beep?

[–] bequirtle@lemmy.world 12 points 14 hours ago

I bought this before Elon went crazy

Didn't know they made teslas in 1971

[–] itrealgood@mander.xyz 16 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

A bumper sticker is such a token attempt to absolve yourself from responsibilities and embarrassment

[–] drekloge@lemmy.today 6 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

I still have sympathy for people who bought in years ago and thought they were doing something good. Not everyone is financially stable enough to get rid of a big investment like that. Buying an EV was different 10 years ago.

That said, anyone with a Cyberstuck or a newer model with the T E S L A spelled out on the back has zero excuse.
