I don't know much about statues but I had to double check the 2nd one was real, like those conturves of the fingers look so awesome. I honestly have no idea what we can do with stone exactly.
Oh Bernili was done much more recently than I thought. Not that I don't think it's awesome for sure but they're like 500 years apart.
Still love seeing newer art, should include the full piece too for comparison. Still a nicely done piece.

The ability of artists to make marble look soft and/or alive and/or see-through will never not completely floor me.
Because you mentioned see-through-ness and the above images don't really showcase it, I'm just going to leave Giovanni Strazza's Veiled Virgin here:
