That third Belgian goal was pure comedy. The 4th was just the icing on the cake π€ A well deserved drubbing, all round.
When it was like 3-1 at 90 minutes I was telling my friend that there's no point in watching. Nothing's gonna happen (I implied that the US isn't gonna be able to score 2 goals to tie). I was wrong -- twisting in that dagger was so nice.
After that red card bs, there was no winning for the US. If they won, it was because they cheated. If they lost, well they lost even after trying to cheat.
Trump managing to piss off an entire Belgium team that has looked slow and lackadaisical all tournament and provoke them into waking up and curb stomping the USMNT is one of the funniest things of the World Cup so far. The narrative writers must be sitting on a whole mountain of coffee and cigarettes, the storylines just keep coming.
Damn, even with FIFA bought out by the US? I'll bet $50 that Trump is gonna try to reverse this too
I'm actually hoping for this to happen. We need the corruption in fifa so so so obviously in plain sight that everyone open their eyes to the corruption.

Ironically this was being carried out by the US, and I specifically remember it improving my impression of the US as a country
Even as an Australian I was never that against the US until this game. They played some good football up until this point (you can only beat what's in front of you) and were deserving of their spot in the final 16. Openly cheating and then painting yourselves as the victims is way over the line, though, and I was laughing as the delusions of grandeur of this clown nation were broadcast around the world for all to see.

The keepers fuck up is a great example of how America fumbles everything. It's like how they handled the Iran situation. The Strait was open for decades, fuck it up, The Strait is closed, the Strait is open but you have to pay.
Thank Allah that the most corrupt team is out of this terrible tournament. The rest of the world is seething about the red card suspension. A lot of people have stopped watching because why bother?
