Post guidelines

Title formatPost title should mirror the news source title. If you don't like the title of article, look for an alternative source instead of editorializing it.
URL formatPost URL should be the original link to the article (even if paywalled) and archived copies left in the body. It allows avoiding duplicate posts when cross-posting.
[Opinion] prefixOpinion (op-ed) articles must use [Opinion] prefix before the title. Opinion articles refer to articles that their publisher doesn't explictly endorse.
Country prefixCountry prefix can be added to the title with a separator (|, :, etc.) if the news is from a local publisher who doesn't clearly mention the country.

Grok in paedophile non-shock.

I honestly was trying to figure out when 7K overtook 4K, and what bullshit resolution was next.

Then I realized it was seven thousand images of CSAM.

Nothing of value was lost

I just hope that she recovers from the trauma

And the haters will tell you there's no target demographic for AI.

Even before its existence, AI was almost guaranteed to appeal exclusively to pedophiles, zoophiles, taboo fetishists and conmen.

7k... WTF. Thank you for your service (talking to the bullet).

~~Thankfully no innocents were harmed.~~

To be clear, damage was certainly done, I’m Just glad he didn’t actually get a hold of the victim in question.

Family is ruined.

Her mom was devastated about her husband killing himself.

She had to deal with the thousands of images generated based off a picture of her at age 11.

There is a lot of harm here.

[–] femtek@lemmy.blahaj.zone 21 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

Ehhh, physically harmed, if I learned that my step father was doing that and then killed himself I think I would have some issues to talk about with a therapist.

[–] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 13 points 12 hours ago

That’s obviously what I meant.

But, yeah, it’s Grok. The chances of getting that shit scrubbed from Elon’s private backups is pretty low.

My gut reaction was "good" too, until I read the rest of the article. I didn't factor in that a traumatized family would have been inevitable, but that was the worst outcome for them. What a selfish ass, even to the end.

[–] Jhex@lemmy.world 3 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

How has X not been sued into the ground?

the president of the usa is a known child rapist and probably trafficker elected twice to office… do you really think anyone in the gov cares about child porn made by one of the president's best buds AI?

[–] possiblylinux127@lemmy.zip 1 points 4 hours ago

This has nothing to do with Trump

X can be held liable regardless of what Trump may or may not be guilty of
