Do it. Accelerate harder. Two feet on the gas pedal. Another knife into the decaying decrepit heart of the most disgusting genocidal spiritually bankrupt society this planet has ever spawned. China will be there to take over.

[–] SerialExperimentsGay@hexbear.net 32 points 1 day ago (3 children)

you people seriously need to stop doing accelerationism as a cope, this shit only works for fascists, it's literally part of every single Marxist definition of fascism that this is how capitalism self-stabilizes

[–] infuziSporg@hexbear.net 3 points 14 hours ago

According to my notes, over 90% of reactionary movements in the past 100 years were created, expanded, or bolstered by the exact entity that @Piltdowntown@hexbear.net is cheering on the chaotic downfall of.

Totally agree. The only way forward is to struggle now.

[–] marxisthayaca@hexbear.net 9 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Capitalism doesn’t “self-stabilize” the nazi regime was not stable.

You're right, fascism is an unstable death cult, but she's also right: the fascist phase of capitalism stabilizes the economy and the whole system. That's the dialectics of it. Fascism isn't stable, because it doesn't solve the crisis tendencies like communism does. But it does have a mid term stabilizing effect by delaying the crisis:

  • A huge amount of value gets destroyed in fascists wars mitigating the crisis of overproduction. (That's the main stabilizing factor)
  • Patriarchy gets reinforced in reaction to the crisis of reproduction of labor power.
  • Unions are destroyed, labor gets disciplined, burgoise democracy gets dismantled, enabling increased exploitation in reaction to the tendency of the rate of profit to fall. (That's the main motivation for capitalists. They inevitably turn to fascism, when profits can't be stabilized within burgoise democracy.)
  • All the crisis raise the consciousness of people, which, in combination with organizing, leads to the looming threat of communism. Fascism kills all communist sympathizers first thing after taking power, effectively neutralizing this threat. That's stabilizing too.

After fascism: the value is still destroyed, the economy booms from rebuilding, restrictive labor laws aren't repealed, fascist officials remain in power, fascist values stay ingrained, communists stay dead.

Just look at Germany. It all played out after the war. The "economic miracle" during rebuilding. General strikes and political strikes are still illegal, Germans are still incredibly racist, Nazis lived long, happy lives in positions of power, new Nazi parties are being build up by intelligence agencies, communist orgs had to start from zero and they are often illegalized, communists are continuously prosecuted from the party bans after the war to the employment bans in the 70s to the imperialist crack down on free speach now.

Fascism needs to be fought and stamped out before it comes to power. If it's already in power (like in the US) it needs to be fought all the more. China won't save a people who aren't willing to save themselves.

Literally every single Marxist theory of fascism emphasizes that it's a reaction to capitalism in crisis. That the regimes themselves are obviously unstable does not change that they are invariably superseded by a capitalist successor state that utilizes the destruction wrought by fascism. The DDR was literally the only exception to that and that only happened due to direct occupation by the USSR.

What slice of America is too stupid to become anti-fascist by this point but will suddenly understand if Trump violates another election norm? Americans are constantly looking for an excuse to not do anything, there being a fascist government is likely going to get "can't do anything; fascist government -- maybe china or canada will save us".

The rhetorical advantage OP here thought the left in the USA would get would be completely nullified by the insane censorship that would soon follow. One is not going to be pwning the libs on Bluesky into becoming anti-fascist when elections get cancelled.

Outside of the US, IDK. Seems like the only way for anyone outside the US to understand how evil it is isn't by argument or evidence but by the on-going trumpian fascist spectacle playing out. So IDK, maybe countries like Spain, Mexico, France, Ireland, Australia, etc. might finally distance themselves from the US more solidly if Trump 3 happens.

finally somebody who understands that if he won in 2020 then this term is his 3rd

[–] CloutAtlas@hexbear.net 13 points 1 day ago (2 children)

He's going to retcon his catastrophic loss in 2000 (which was referenced in Sleep Now in the Fire's music video, directed by Michael Moore) as a win at some point.

[–] Belly_Beanis@hexbear.net 23 points 1 day ago (1 children)

ngl the Supreme Court ruling Trump was the 2000 general election winner and G.W. stole it from him would be a hilarious bit. Especially if they charge or fine Bush with something.

It’s 50/50 whether or not he’ll actually try. Looking at recent speeches from officials, Rubio looks like who they’ll want to run in 2028 with Vance a close second.

[–] CyborgMarx@hexbear.net 25 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

The viability (in terms of having the power to go through with it or not) of Tump 2028 feels like a crossroads that really elucidates precisely how far-flung we are on the fascism road

If it has motion, then we're in deep shit, like 'pack your suitcase and flee NOW' levels of deep shit

If it's just a larp, then we're still in the tail end of the neoliberal era

[–] BettercallMao@hexbear.net 22 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Democracy is a scam being used for protecting neoliberalism, rentism and capitalism. It is already fascist.

Mango is just making this explicit and undeniable even for most hardcore democrats

That's literally Mitch McConnell right now.

Not allowed to die to keep his seat open.

[–] PraiseCorn@hexbear.net 17 points 1 day ago

True but Trump in his 10th term is more fitting given he's president forever, whereas turtle is just a senator whos more akin to Darth sidious before he became emperor cuz Trump is emperor n stufff

[–] ComRed@hexbear.net 31 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Cute that he thinks he'll be alive that long.

[–] DasRav@hexbear.net 24 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He is made 100% out of McDonalds residue, which doesn't know how to die because it was never alive in the first place.

[–] supafuzz@hexbear.net 4 points 22 hours ago

[–] bloogoose@lemmy.zip 10 points 1 day ago

[–] GenderIsOpSec@hexbear.net 24 points 1 day ago

he will probably live to be 120. evil never just dies

[–] CloutAtlas@hexbear.net 29 points 1 day ago

I am reminded of a friend of mine who bought a Make America Great Again hat and shipped it over to Australia in 2016 because he thought it'd be an obscure funny relic in 10 years like an "I Like Ike" bumper sticker or Bob Dole 1996. A failed political campaign's slogan from halfway around the world,

Fast forward 10 years, Trump's unveiling "Trump 2028" hats (among other things)

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 21 points 1 day ago (1 children)

0/10

TALK IS CHEEP

He needs to officially announce and start his run for a third term before the 2026 elections to force a GOP loyalty test that's as simple as can be. Do republican pols support his third term or not? Then he can "take care of" any of his enemies in the way the GOP justices gave him the power to do in their 2024 immunity ruling. And - bingo - he gets 100% loyality.

[–] BettercallMao@hexbear.net 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Lets see what Mitch has to say about it

[–] supafuzz@hexbear.net 2 points 22 hours ago

live-kissinger-reaction but for mitch

[–] bloogoose@lemmy.zip 9 points 1 day ago

Every American let this happen and continues to let it happen every second we aren't burning it all down.

[–] Korkki@lemmy.ml 9 points 1 day ago

More chaos in the heart of the great satan, the better.

The only term he deserves is a prison term. Preferably with hard labour.
