And those who demand instant perfection the day after the revolution, they go up and say “Are there civil liberties for the fascists? Are they gonna be allowed their driver's seat chud monologues and their horror porn? are they gonna be able to keep all their farms?
Seeing this post for the second time and thinking about it more it gave me a really uncomfortable feeling about how men are defining sexuality in women, taking away that agency of the women themselves. It’s very invasive it makes me so uncomfortable.
Obviously this has been happening all throughout history, and it’s already normalised that men obsess over women who are visible in media to the point that they stalk and harass them, because they perceive the visibility of these women as a sort of sexual invitation. But the largest social media platform taking away the livelihood of these women and saying their voice is sexual, when the content is intended for general comfort feels worse somehow. It just made me realise how uncomfortably close we are to a society that finds just the existence women already sexual, in combination with capitalism that would be a horrific reality.
And the immediate consequence for some of these women is that they loose their livelihood from VA work on mainstream platforms and are only allowed on explicit platforms.
My tinfoil hat conspiracy here is that they are banning them so that they can push AI generated ASMR stuff.
I think they are getting banned because they are on multiple platforms. That would be consistent with the behavior of social media platforms that also sometimes ban people for mentioning other platforms.
I've also seen some posts recently of creators no longer being allowed to link to other platforms unless they send their ID to YouTube.
This is YouTube's stated reason. It's not in the link, but there's an update to the article with a statement from YT saying this is about the channels making (well linking to is what they said, but most of the channels didn't link to their OF or Fansly directly) adult content off platform.

My playlists I painstakingly curated over a literal decade are littered with dead links, delisted videos and removed users. It's already dead for anything that isn't already available on other platforms
Media isn't safe on YouTube but there's still an unbelievable amount of media on YouTube that is nowhere else.

Someone once called me scamming and pretending to be from the social security administration. This is the amerikkkan version of "what if we had a pension fund for all seniors, and defunded it?". I stayed on hold and told them to go fuck themselves. They replied "you first". So far, YouTube creators affected by the wave of bans who’ve spoken publicly about YouTube removing their channels include ItsBunniiASMR, Slight Sounds, Nananightray, Roseasmr, Simoneasmr, and Janina Wilhelmsen

don't be cute. asmr is not inherently sexual. do you agree with nsfw content creators getting banned from making sfw content on youtube?
I do regularly listen to ASMR artists on Youtube, and have listened to some uploaded by ItsBunnii too, and agree that they are not inherently arousing. But she promotes her nsfw on the same channel.
it seems like that's not the reason given for the ban though, youtube is saying that the content they uploaded on there is sexual in nature
