Not a hockey fan either, but I’ve often asked this question of my friends that are. They all same the same thing: The fans enjoy and expect it. To me, it’s dumb. One team ends up a player (or two) down, and that’s when a lot fo the scoring happens. Ergo, you fight and you are more likely to lose. Pretty much any other sport in the world and you’re off the field of play, and often for a long period of time.

FWIW, this is also why I’m not a hockey fan…

The main thrust of the argument seems to be two fold - it‘s not 100% is (almost nothing is) and it costs a lot upfront (so do fossil-fuel plants). Smells like like some serious astroturfing to me

The rest of your argument? The only thing I see missing is transport. It needs to scale to global levels and be free with respect to both carbon and cash

I would recommend reading Kim Stanley Robinson for better ideas than I could ever give - The Ministry for the Future and New York 2140 spring to mind.

From the angle, it also looks she only has a single boob - right in the middle.

Came hear to say exactly this. I’m no expert, but this sounds like the right answer

Did Christian say he didn’t want to sell to them? I read that as “didn’t offer enough money”

Hallmark Movies…

I once read that they shoot a bunch of footage and then turn it into at least 2-3 different films. Cheap. Crap

That will be all the other Evangelicals in Iowa - Some of them really aren’t doing their bit to enable the rapture.

But yeah. They don’t read either.

This is true of [insert programming paradigm here]

I don’t know why any reasonable software Dev would think one-paradigm-fits-all. And I’m equally alarmed when I see articles that say that a paradigm is useless…

That’s literally the job, people. You need to know enough paradigms to know which applies, when. And you need to be able to drive the discussion with a team about why and how.

Stop expecting everything to be easy

That’s positively early on trains around Toronto where I live… The schedule is merely a guideline
