Think about it. Boobs are feminine traits, right? And what are boobs made of? That's right. Fat. And it's really hard to get fat when you can't afford to eat. Therefore masculinity?

the country that has never had a recession

Weren't they heavily affected by the 1997 Asian financial crisis? Or am I remembering that wrong?

Only thing they're missing is depicting China as a grasping octopus.

Turns out when you ask an AI to make a picture of "an advanced Sci-Fi city" it just steals from popular sci fi franchises.

Come on man, don't be that guy who reads the article and then makes a fake guess about the content.

If only his plan A had succeeded, Gorby wouldn't have needed to do his plan B and dissolve the union 😔

I was wondering when they'd start making use of those stealth fighters they found in Qin Shi Huang's tomb.

I've seen libs try to insist Stalin Bad because of Molotov-Ribbentrop, but I've never seen an ultra try to say Stalin Bad because...he allied with liberal countries against the nazis? I honestly have no idea what this could possibly be.

Though it is probably bog standard ultra thing of insisting their particular brand of Mega-GonzaloLite-Hoxhaism would be the most successful form of socialism in the world if it weren't for those evil Stalinists giving socialism a bad name.

Because a pathetic manchild couldn't handle the idea of women having bodily functions.

I had a dream last night about it. You play as Harry again, who is a renegade cop now, but Kim still joins him anyway because reasons. Harry also only has one bullet left in his gun that he is saving for the man who killed his wife (they got back together in between games). Anyway, the first game dealt with the Very Serious theme of politics, so the second game deals with the Very Serious theme of sexism. One of the main characters in the game is a feminist who you help out a lot, but then at the end of the game it turns out she's made a machine that will destroy all sexist men (which goes too far) and she won't listen to Reason so you have no choice but to use your final bullet to stop her extremism. Also measurehead is back because he was a popular character, but he's just a cool tough guy now, because he realised racism is bad.

And in the dream I also pulled out a reaaaally long hangnail from my thumb and it was super satisfying.

Thoughts?

So I'm not a particuarly sexual person, not asexual, but my views on sex just seem so different to the norm. I don't find sex jokes and things funny and don't really like to talk about or have sex, and I hardly ever think about it. (And quite frankly, I've never enjoyed it and don't ever really try to pursue it).

I went to a party yesterday and we played one of those Jackbox games, it was really crude and sexual and I just didn't "get" it. A question came up "What is your ideal sex location" and I just flat out have never thought of that before. Like, is this sort of thing something that people usually think about? Everyone else in the room seemed to have an instant go-to answer, but I just didn't know.

A mate of mine made fun of me, implying I was a virgin for not thinking about sex enough apparently. It was just really gross and juvenile and I can't stop thinking about it. Like, he treated my lack of "getting it" as a moral failing or something, something to be ashamed of.

It's been on my mind all day, just really upsetting and I don't really know why. I guess it's the implication that I'm less of a man or something for not spending all my time trying to get laid. We're in our late 20s/early 30s, so I was really surprised to hear this kind of immature teenage shit coming out of a close friend, it felt kind of like he was letting me know how he "really feels" with that one line, when he normally holds his tongue.

It just feels so gross, like the idea that I need to go out and have sex in order to be considered more of a person to him. I might be overthinking it, but it just...hurts in a way I can't really describe easily. Which is why I'm writing this nonsense, to share my thoughts, and hopefully hear some ideas from other people about this sort of thing. Am I being the weird one here? Should I just "toughen up" or something and try and get a partner or go looking for a one night stand or something? I've always thought of myself as straight and cis, but my attitudes towards sex just seem so different from the norm. I feel like a failure of a person right now, though hopefully that's just because I'm really exhausted and low on energy.

I'm just happy to see that someone read something I wrote and feel like they deserve to be seen for that.

Hi! Long time lurker, first time poster. Been discussing stuff with MLs of all stripes recently, and have come across a common statement used by a lot of Maoists which frustrates me.

They seem to always fall back on statements like "The CPC allows billionaires in their ranks, so they are revisionist."

Maoists have often used this as a kind of "gotcha" argument against more traditional MLs, or "Dengists" as they love to label us.

It's frustrating, because...I don't disagree really, allowing members of the bourgeoisie to hold political power is pretty much the definition of revisionism. The problem is, this feels more like a way to silence dissent or discussion rather than facilitate it. Feels like an overly simplistic hard line that simplifies history into binary divisions. Often followed by an implied "China is revisionist, therefore Maoism is the only working form of socialism."

I'm reaching out to people to see if anyone has any ways to combat this, in a way that encourages discussion rather than it just devolving into insults or truisms hurled back and forth without thought.
