I just wanna say from a man's perspective, don't read into it too much. When I'm in public, I damn near put blinders on. A couple weeks ago, I walked straight past a buddy of mine in public and didn't even see him. He texted me later like, "Dude, we cool?" I had to ask him to elaborate, as I was completely confused.

You're doing great. Be true to yourself. Don't worry about strangers; we are becoming increasingly isolated from one another due to various factors, including polarization. You got this, dude.

I'm pretty sure the vast majority of us have been subject to this exact threat.

Lint gets stuck in the base, so the cord will not properly seat. I've found that dental floss picks get in there great, and are non conductive.

This is exactly the spirit I'm talking about.

I can't fathom it.

I kinda wanna see the entire debate evolve into ludicrous, outlandish claims back and forth. Just sheer comedy. I know this isn't the right way to fix anything, but it's what we deserve at this point for letting the situation get this far unchecked.

All depends on the game. PC players have options.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, you have viable career paths that are NOT being selected because the income simply won't be enough. We miss out on a lot of talented and motivated individuals that would love to get into a particular field, but it just doesn't pay as well. Teachers and corrections officers come to mind. The career I'm in was not my first choice, but it pays better than what I wanted to do.

Someone mentioned antifa at work the other day, and I said, "Antifa? I'm in. Shitting on fascists has been an American pass time for a century or better."

The looks of shock and horror on my coworkers faces was quite the sight to behold.

For anyone who needs a reminder, his name is not Ted. We should honor his wishes and stop calling him by his preferred name.

There's quite a few calculators that get this wrong. In college, I found out that Casio calculators do things the right way, are affordable, and readily available. I stuck with it through the rest of my classes.

Why did I create a Lemmy world account as opposed to beehaw or ml? Because it's the first one I saw. Because it doesn't matter. Because I don't know what ml stands for. Because Lenny world said "general use." Because I didn't have to fill out an application. Because I can still interact with everything else, and again, it doesn't matter.

Just popped in to say the community icon brought me here! For those that don't know, that is the album cover for "The Burden of Restlessness" by King Buffalo. Definitely worth checking out IMHO!
