Disney does not, nor did it ever, own the copyright to an entire state of animation. To my knowledge, it can't even be done. It'd be like trying to copyright a particular painting technique.

I doubt Disney would give a shit about this game unless it was explicitly using Disney ripoffs or actual Disney IP. Which it isn't.

Cumtown. Three comedians from New York just riffing about anything and everything. I think it's hilarious (usually) and they have some imo legendary bits, like Ben Shapiro getting raped by Mr. Feeney when he was a kid, Judge Dredd vs. The Mask, them talking mad shit about Jordan Peterson and making fun of his voice; even just talking about a hypothetical of one of the guys buying $40,000 worth of chocolate to commit fraud with.

September 23! I'm excited. I played the demo during next fest and the only thing I wish it had was more build space. They only gave a tiny little circle to build in.

I've played GTA: San Andreas, and I don't think there's anything overtly sexually explicit in that one (besides the Hot Coffee thing, which still isn't that bad? It's simulated sex acts while the characters still wear their clothes). Even Cyberpunk has like two sex scenes (I never went to the joyous besides for that one mission) that you only really see tits from a first-person pov.

Though I realize that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Idk man. When I was in school before everyone started coming out as trans and such, all my teachers would still ask if there was a different name you preferred on like the first day of school. And they suck to it. It didn't matter if the student was gay, straight, trans, or whatever; they still had a preferred name they liked to be called by, the teachers asked, and they respected it. I'd like to think those teachers of mine would continue this practice and not have an issue with it, but you never really know.

Like a second Viscera game!

I liked the arcadey cleanup mechanics of it, and Goblin Cleanup is looking to more of the (almost) exact same thing, except fantasy themed. The demo on steam is pretty fun if you wanna try it. They have like four or five different themed worlds (there's a medieval one, an Egyptian one, and an underwater one, and I think maybe a couple more) but you can only play the first few levels of the medieval one.

ETA: it has a really ridiculous theme song that plays in the main menu too.

You guys ever listened to Corey Feldman?

I feel like Korben would know about Zorg, at least who he is.

I personally enjoy Ecosia. They're the ones who plant trees whenever you use their search engine, and while not the best, at least their mobile app has a built in ad-blocker that imo seems pretty decent.

I got the mod that lets you respawn at the last Holy Mountain visited, and then there's the two that kinda go together that add starting classes and load outs to the game. I also got the "cheat mode" one that lets you edit wands whenever, add spells and items etc.

I'd like to take a moment to share this video about what happens to the human body at different zones of the blast. It's pretty horrific, but simulated.

What's Romex? I have no idea what this conversation is about but I'd love to know lol

Favorite Level? (lemmy.world)
submitted 1 week ago by Zahille7@lemmy.world to c/halo@lemmy.world

I was just wondering everyone's favorite level(s) were/are. You can explain why you like it, or you can just name drop the level you like most.

Mine are probably:

  1. Assault on The Control Room, I love the big epic set pieces of the level, and it has probably the best/most "examples" of what Halo is as a game than any other in CE. You have big weapons, vehicles, large open battles, and awesome music.

  2. Delta Halo from Halo 2. I love the lush jungle setting and going through the underwater elevator is always fun. Plus I love just beating the hell out of Truth.

  3. Halo, from Halo 3. Like Assault on The Control Room, this level has it all

So I've been playing through all the Arkham games lately, and I had an interesting thought about the whole Arkhamverse as a storyline.

I think the entire game series is based (loosely) on The Killing Joke story, with other major events, references, and storylines lifted from other Batman comics. I just think TKJ was used as a basis for the games' world.

We see Joker's beginning with his flashback at the end of Arkham Origins, which is almost identical to his TKJ origin, as well as him crippling Barbara in that flashback during Arkham Knight (right down to the clothes he's wearing). The overall dark tone of the games lend to this theory, as well as Joker being shown just how sadistic he can be.

What do you think?

If it's at all possible. I just find it kind of annoying to have to scroll through super long posts just to get to the comments. Review threads for newly released games in some of the gaming communities are what prompted this idea lol.

Edit: what the hell is going on with that account that keeps spamming nonsense?

So I like to use Xbox controllers (doesn't matter if it's first- or third-party) because I like the layout, it's just comfortable to me. However I've noticed that on all my controllers in the past few years, the left thumb stick will start to "give out" over the course of a couple months. For instance I'll be pushing it forward all the way, but it won't register for some reason and my character will only move a little bit. Sometimes wiggling it a bit will fix it, sometimes it doesn't. And it's not like I'm squeezing the hell out of the controller or mashing the stick constantly; in fact it's made me try to be more delicate with my controllers, even though I'm just playing the games normally.

Is it just how controllers are, or am I just getting the shit end of the stick?

Like, I travel around for work and I've met plenty of people from all backgrounds.

Why is there a demographic of people who don't seemingly bathe regularly, or at the very least wear something to cover up their BO? I could understand if it's an allergy, or even religious reasons (though the people I've met that smell bad are usually you're average American young adult man) but recently (like in the past week, recently) I've met a concerning number of people who don't seem to wear any kind of deodorant or possibly don't even bathe regularly; it's starting to become an issue for me, as I don't even want to interact with them when I can smell them walking up from 3+ feet away yet I need to for work.

Does anyone have any possible insight?
