I just found the classroom environment and prison mentality unbearable as an undiagnosed autistic person. I was punished for my autistic behaviours rather than having them recognised and accommodated, and this continued into adulthood until I got diagnosed. Hell I've been fired after diagnosis for requesting accomodations, they just make up some other bullshit excuse.

I've been living in a new place for eight months now. It's overwhelmingly white conservative, and the only people I've met who treat me like a human being (as a queer woman) are two Muslim people.
I think the good will is often exploited by libs who are using them to climb social hierarchy, or to elevate their career in some way. I've had a some trouble as a neurodivergent person in these kind of groups too, some ableism, bullying, and scaepgoating from neurotypical people, or experiencing classism as a working class person from middle / upper class people. Unfortunately had a bit of this with trade union organising also.
I should check out Unbeatable! I have an industrial hardcore / techno solo project, into a lot of music like that too.
I was homeless for a year after escaping domestic abuse, then got really sick after finding housing and spent six months recovering. Was working a really manual labour intensive zero hours contract job the whole time, which I'm still doing now alongside running my own small business. I played Final Fantasy 14 for an hour today though after posting this.
It's been a couple of years since I've had the time to play video games. Kind of blows my mind when people even have the time to do this
Where I grew up everybody called tap water "council juice"
Thank you! Glad you like it
Thank you, what kind of music are you into?
Thank you! Glad you like it, two of us used to be in a hardcore band who did a couple of releases on the label La Vida Es Un Mus.
I finally got my birth certificate updated after a decade and a half of transitioning. The envelope was wet, like it'd been dropped in a puddle. After all the bureaucratic bullshit, familial abandonment, homelessness, discriminatory firing and unemployment. IDK man
There are still people trying to do things independently, just nobody sees it because we're not posting on TikTok and Instagram.
I work as a technician in an independent venue, lots of manual labour, doing twelve hour shifts, and also run a cassette label. I record everything myself, dub the tapes myself, make and print all the artwork myself, ship it all internationally on my own. I've organised unions and gone on strike at venues, won tribunals against employers.
I will agree though that a lot of libs exploit the good will of DIY community in bad faith.
