I expanded this on the main page so I only saw the part with the wall and was admiring that for a moment, feeling the timelessness... then I scrolled down and saw the train years ahead of anything we have in the US of A. This is a beautiful shot thanks for posting.

West Virginia's state quarter has Harper's Ferry with the armory named as John Brown's Fort
and District of Columbia has Frederick Douglas seated at a desk writing, so there are at least 2 based quarters out there.
For cuteness I think the champion is the American Samoa National Park quarter with the mama bat hanging upside down and a baby bat hanging on her belly.
Chapo is hit-or-miss lately but they were clowning on Machado in their most recent episode, about how a politician is not going to become popular by calling for Trump to please bomb their country. Also that photo is wild, an expression of real hatred.
This is a real shame. It does bring to mind yesterday's discussion about electeds and political influencers being very online in right wing echo chambers and thinking that discourse reflects broader sentiments. And when these attitudes are brought forth to a wider audience the reaction is one of disgust.
So you wind up with this killer child who was too foolish and offputting to even make it as a typical RW grifter coming out and fundraising for a murder so egregiously that even a Florida sheriff - I'm assuming himself no paragon of wokeness - feels compelled to speak on the case and say WTF man.
The dynamics also appear to be shifting some workers away from formal center- and home-based employment settings toward private households in work as a babysitter, nanny or au pair. Those shifts may reduce the total number of spots a day care can offer.
Trump’s policy decision to rescind “sensitive location” status for places like day cares has translated into more immigration enforcement arrests near centers.
Look obviously the focus ought to be on the individuals being deported and the communities directly affected, but ICE gestapo activity is a broad attack on society and it is worth looking at how it impacts childcare and working families. Reading this as "take that PMC scum!" is not supported by this article frankly - those households will keep hiring private nannies. Households are increasingly dependent on dual incomes and that means needing a place to look after you kids during the day.
Yeah I just straight up don't believe this, I wasn't going to give it any more time but I was curious why there were a few weepy hasbara stories floating around.
A quick glance at Twitter shows that her story is being lumped with others who were allegedly killed/received poor care while in captivity, I think they're trying to shore up the hospitals = Hamas narrative? Why now? If I had to speculate maybe they are afraid of intl. journalists coming in and uncovering more of their war crimes? I think that just a few days ago a hundred plus bodies of martyrs were recovered from Al Shifa hospital, maybe that's related in the propaganda battle.
The hasbarists are also pumping video of a group of hostages celebrating Hannukah in the tunnels filmed by Hamas, it is actually kind of touching. They say they were later murdered by their captors, I'd put money on it being IOF bombs that did them in.
Yeah gaining IOF captives was part of the logic behind Al Aqsa Storm, this makes no sense (and any information from the entity should be dismissed out of hand). And the potential of losing POWs was one of the big reasons IOF was afraid to put infantry outside of their vehicles at all, let alone go into the tunnels.
What majestic creatures.
I remember people being serious about not being able to get their hair cut as something that needed to be weighed against the utility of public health measures. Or a person suggesting to me that because we have 40,000 automobile deaths a year we should accept that many COVID deaths. No! That death toll indicates a sick society that has accepted needless car deaths, not that that is a baseline number of acceptable fatalities. Then the COVID death toll that first year was probably 10x that number. I don't mean to get too serious here, there is just this really weird divide between I feel between people who integrate their continued experiences over time and people who are like, yeah no those things I forcefully and sincerely advocated for 3-4 years ago don't mean anything
Yeah when I saw a similar headline of "so-and-so corrupt official sentenced to death" I assumed it was like similar things in the past in China where it's like "and the sentence will be commuted when they stay out of trouble for a few years."
When you suggested the tabulated from half-assed Google research I thought "that's way to much effort" but you covered that
they probably just asked Grok
Also don't ask them who sacked Constantinople.
There was that Pinkerton in Colorado who was working personal protection for a newscaster when he ventilated a chud so
