Hexbear has extreme posting power and a cohesive site culture like 4chan does, but unlike 4chan, the usersbase isn't made up of weird misanthropes.
I'm not sure HOW one would be a lefty without having some faith in humanity.

It's really more the remnants of my faith in humanity from before fifteen years of posting atrophied it and pure obligation
From reading comments of 70s/80s music videos made by the people who worked behind the scenes on them recounting their memories of the process, along with translating foreign social media and seeing how similar shitposters are across the world
