I’ve had dreams where I fell in love with a whole new person and raised a family with them was devastated for almost a whole day once I woke up. I can’t imagine the dreams that could happen spanning a 3 week coma or even longer
I had one of those, although without children, but I realized it was a dream and we talked about how our time together would end when I woke up. We held hands and watched the sunset.
I was kind of a naive dumbass and I told my (at the time) partner about that right after waking and that was by far the most jealous I ever saw her in our ten years together. Huge mistake.
Why would anyone be jealous of a dream?
If done with sensitivity, it’s good to be open about such experiences. It’s something that happened to you, not something you did
I have a reoccurring dream I'm heading back to Brazil to live with my ex and pick up where we left off. It's always the same, I contact her, we both make up, then I fly to meet her.
I've definitely had affairs in dreams. Always wake up a bit bummed
