I got to lovecrafian and was sold, I do enoy any journeys into cosmic horror, from a toe dip to what the freaking hell. Still working my way through his stories but From the Mouth of Madness was a favourite movie growing up but I couldn't quite place why. Then I discovered cosmic horror and had that 'ahhhh ding' (holy choir going ahhhhh then ding at the realization second with a light shining....okay I watch a lot of tv and movies). sort of experience.

Also did not realize there was a movie, but I think I'll end up doing some novel experience before the movie. Been burned way too much the other route and they spoil the best parts for the worst take on the story usually. If not the same here, well it'll be fun for a change of the movie being a better storytelling (unless I misread / understood the comment sorry reading quickly)
