it recently occurred to me that I have 0 albums from the current year in my music library, and I need to amend that. so what are some good albums/singles/etc from 2026 that resonated with you?

There has been a lot of decent dubstep releases this year so far but I won't spam this thread with a load of that and just pick one Kercha - Open The Door

Cult of the Damned released their new album Simony not too long ago which is fucking sick from front to back and has been in heavy rotation for me since its release.

What Lies Below - Monolith is an EP I stumbled upon and have been quite enjoying.

In a similar vein August Burns Red - Season of Surrender is pretty decent

As is Elwood Stray - Descending

Lorn also released new music but it is nothing like his usual stuff that I like ans is more like an album of noise / drone - Searing Blood. Can't really recommend it personally, I think it is dog shit compared to his previous releases but if you like some drone then maybe check it out!
