Dear US Americans, the world cannot comprehend that this stain is still in office. It’s baffling that so many people still accept what he’s doing.
That creepy weirdo having been chosen by Americans as their leader is totally destroying whatever impression there still was of the US as a great and advanced country.
The perception of people outside of the US is mostly shaped by what they see on TV (since they neither live in America and experience day-to-day life there, nor are they likely to know Americans) and a creepy guy like that as president just passed the impression of America as a backwards place filled with backwards people.
Dear world, most Americans can't, either.
It’s more like 50.0001% when looking at most polls.
“Reports say an ICE agent pulled a 6 year old child, a US citizen, out of a car and beat him to within an inch of his life, and then pissed on him. Then stripped his clothes off and fucked him. Then, he mailed shrapnel bombs to every one of the child’s friends.
51% of those surveyed said they felt that ICE’s actions were excessive.”
My unending madness comes from failing to understand that demonic 49%.
Some Americans most either support him or don't care.
Then do something about it.
"Lol just go assassinate him" fuck off.
Your entire country wishes they could have someone walk up their driveway so they could murder them. Because their second amendment.
So go fucking use your 2A rights and fucking do something about the fascist regime taking over your country.
Otherwise turn your guns over and shut the fuck up because your country is either gonna nut up and defend itself over an invasion of fascism or you're all a bunch of pussies.
Some people have supposedly tried, too.
I'm waiting to see what happens November through January. If this can be solved at the ballot box, that would be for the best.
If not, we may have to start learning more about the intricacies of Minecraft.
It would be yeah. I’m not confident but I hope it’s held and a fair one. Either way people need to get out to it and help those who can’t.
The only other way is peaceful shutdown. There’s nothing else…they can’t civil war their way out of it, that’d just be worse. A bloodbath which would fail and tear the country apart irreparably. There might be an argument for splitting, it isn’t through war.
All ears, tough guy
You're the country that masturbates to gun violence and the rights to own them. Something about having them to fight tyranny or something.
So own up. What the fuck is the point of your 2nd amendment if you're gonna pussy out when it matters most?
You're asking the wrong person, I think that amendment is fucking bullshit
Well, let’s be realistic.
I know, it’s frustrating, for years they, including the progressives, have taken shots at us about the rules our governments have because we don’t have guns. I absolutely get it. I’ve had them going at me for two days because I’ve pointed out they are where they are because they fail to vote. They expect and get a lot of passes they don’t offer others.
Truth is, they can’t go out and do civil war, they know it and so do we when we think about it. There’s enough to be critical about and yeah they get the shits when the mirrors held up and they’re fucking irresponsible but going the violent path isn’t their answer.
They need to do peaceful shutdown. I know there’s a few of them out there trying to put a plan to this, I’ve seen the discussions around here and other places. That’s their only solution now. 60% in the urban areas would be enough, in two weeks to a month they’d have senators, congress and half decent billionaires moving to act on it.
Unless they do get another fair vote…if they do, they need to get out in numbers, including helping and organising those who find it difficult to vote. Even if it’s a workday. A life is more important than a job and that’s where they’re at right now.
Your entire country for as long as I have lived for nearly four decades have masturbated over "the right to bear arms" and you can just shoot people whenever you want and guns guns guns.
Now when you're actually presented with an authoritarian regime, you want to pull all the "yeah but except..."
Your entire country is full of cowards and pussies. You spent decades leaning into your second amendment and when push finally comes to shove and you're faced with a fascist government and police mudering your own citizens in the streets, it's" umm actually that's not how the second amendment works".
America is a country of pussies.
Yeah…I’m not an American mate, you might be using an app which doesn’t tell you where I’m from
My comment however should have been enough to tell you I’m not an American
It's more baffling that the rest of the world can't see how many of us are fighting and getting the shit kicked out of us.
Many either don't see it (they only watch our media snippets), or don't care to support it.
They just want to complain on the internet when something becomes inconvenient for them personally.
Most of these people are cowards, like the person that downvoted you. Many even help Trump by minimizing and belittling those resisting Trump to a portrayal of non-existance.
These people are little more than useful idiots for the GOP.
Remember the huge demonstrations in the US against Obama for his campaign of assassinating people with drones?!
Me neither.
Because there weren't any.
From the outside the impression that passes is that the reason that a lot of Americans are against this POTUS whilst not having been against previous ones is that he brought to America the Fascism that America practiced or supported abroad. In other words, before it was "I'm alright Jack" for those people, but now they themselves are not alright anymore so and THAT is what's unnacceptable for them.
The imperialist mindset in the US hasn't changed, the delusions of grandeur and the feeling of inherent superiority are barelly reduced if at all - America fucking up people all over the place is fine as long as it only does it in far away places to little people who aren't Americans, ideally somebody you've been told by TV are "bad people" (whilst Americans are "good", they're always the "good guys", even when they leave hundreds of thousands of bodies in their trail)
American Exceptionalism has mainly just made a massive pile of bones and that feeling of "better and more important than the rest" hasn't changed and the focus of people demonstrating against Trump in the US isn't at all ending such posture and the consequences of it in the World, rather it's just ending the problems Trump is causing to America and Americans: good for you if you're fighting for what's good for you, just don't expect other people to think better of you for that alone when you don't and never really cared enough about all the shit that's been done in your name by the leaders of your country fucking up everybody else.
In fact, expecting to be aplauded for it by the rest of the World sounds a lot like the usual delusions of grandeur.
The only people in the US I myself respect in all this shit are the ones demonstrating against things like what's happenning in Palestine - they're standing by genuine principles and fighting for others, not themselves - not the people merely fighting Trump for what he's doing to America, since that's just self-serving, not principled.
It may feel to you that when you're with your people everyone is against Trump. From the outside looking in, there are more people who support Trump than oppose him, and there are many times more people who are in neither camp and just accept that this is what the world is. That vast majority of Americans think that democracy only happens once every four years.
Who's fighting and getting the shit kicked out of them? Any source?
Most of the cases of ICE brutality escalate through protests against them. The protestors know that raising violence will be used as an excuse to America’s fear/racism-driven base to triple their funding. They bravely accept they’ll do more in getting attacked, in demonstrating ICE’s cruelty, than attacking individuals.
We’re in a bizarre period of history where there’s so many eyes on the internet, optics matter more than ever. There’s still some extremely captive audiences that can be made to think everything the regime does is “legitimate”.
They don't understand nuances, the law, the Constitution, our election system, etc. They want to see us destroy the world for their own entertainment. Ignore them, we have work to do, and we're doing it. Next stop is the Midterm Elections.
Then it's two years of fun investigations and criminal prosecutions.
Hahahaha your system is so broken. The fact you can't see it is kind of sad. Maybe they lose the midterms but your limp noodle Democrats are not going to do shit.
Because you aren't.
Sorry you think you are fighting, but you aren't and it's exhausting
Dear rest of the world, please stop allowing your own wealthy people to invest in our stock markets.

The ultra-wealthy and corporate interests outside of the US are as loyal to the well-being of their own nations as those in the US are to America.
That is to say not at all.
Yet you hear the same garbage being touted here too. "If we tax the ultra rich they'll leave and take the jobbies with them."
I had no idea they'd up and move all the societal infrastructure if we decide to finally have them pay their fair share. How exactly are they supposed to plop out the hospitals, schools, roads, power lines, pipes, sewers, [...] with them?
It's election year here, and I have no hope whatsoever that things will change.
Here in California, the threat to emigrate is totally a bluff. Our economy is big enough that corporations would lose too much business trying to avoid our state. In fact, the robust system of California institutions and regulatory agencies are exactly why the technology industry has continued to stay here (and not, say, move to Texas, where they'd be taxed less). Billionaires want to be able to live here and have property here and do business here.
If they really want to try to pull up stakes and move to North Dakota (or Argentina -- also good riddance) it means having to sell off their assets here, and the assets will stay and be taxable no matter what billionaire owns them.
Instead, I expect they'll hire lobbyists by the dozens to beleaguer our representatives to try to kill those bills or at least insert workarounds. Or they'll try to do what the farming coalitions are trying to do, and pass federal legislation that stops California from regulating industry.
Fun story, the ISPs got together to kill net neutrality regulation at the Federal level, and so in 2018 California passed a net neutrality gold standard, which meant that ISPs had to adhere to those regulations for all traffic going in and out of California, which made it really difficult for them to segregate traffic that didn't go through the state.
It’s election year here, and I have no hope whatsoever that things will change.
Trump and the Republican party seem determined to make sure things only get progressively worse. So far they've been really incompetent about it, but I don't know how big the voting bloc is that is under the thrall of their propaganda. If there are enough MAGA loyalists, if they can successfully suppress enough votes, if gerrymandering works to win more Republican seats, if the administration is able to capture voter rolls and start caging votes nationwide, then yeah, nothing will change and we're all going to be skipping meals and losing weight.
After that, I expect it to take months or even years before the public collectively decides it has nothing left to lose.
I mean, yeah, I hope all that works out in favour of change because I’m sick and tired of the U.S. fucking around on the world stage screwing with the rest of us. The current administration needs to go. It shouldn’t have made it in in the first place. Hell, I’m still astonished he made it in 2016.
When I said that it’s election year here, I didn’t mean the U.S. I’m not American. I live in a U.S. wannabe country, that my entire life has aspired to be like big daddy America. Some people are finally disillusioned, but I don’t think it’ll be enough. I worry we’re too far gone.
And Russians accept what Putin is doing.
