[–] treesquid@lemmy.world 3 points 2 hours ago

He's such an embarrassing sack of shit

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 5 points 4 hours ago

He was there because he is constitutionally incapable of not making himself the center of everything around him. He's like a black hole made out of poop. So like, a brown hole.

[–] Tronn4@lemmy.world 3 points 4 hours ago

He went to pick up his trophy duh

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 10 points 8 hours ago

The Guardian commenting on that:

[–] heartSagan5@lemmy.zip 3 points 4 hours ago

I guess he wanted a “golden shower?”

[–] modus@lemmy.world 4 points 5 hours ago

I don't know how he wasn't instructed to stay away beforehand. He pulled the same shit last year. He thought the celebration was for him.

[–] LodeMike@lemmy.today 8 points 10 hours ago

Surely there can be even more confetti

[–] chuckleslord@lemmy.world 26 points 13 hours ago

Nominative determinism. Got Infantino to deal with the infant

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 11 hours ago

So goddamn embarrassing.

[–] Amdouni@lemmy.ml 23 points 11 hours ago

Something tells me that this image will be used in the future to teach about Trump's history, something like Hitler in the Olympics.

[–] vzqq@lemmy.blahaj.zone 63 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

Interesting that when the male team wins the World Cup, nobody tries to kiss the captain on the mouth.

[–] MumboJumbo@lemmy.world 4 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

The chance to kiss a hot Spanish guy, I guess. There's always next time.

There were widespread calls for Rubiales' resignation and structural change in the RFEF, paired with support for Jenni Hermoso – the player he had forcibly kissed on the lips at the final , and whom the RFEF was accused of mistreating following the incident – in Spain and from women's football teams around the world. The social movement caused by Rubiales' conduct and continued public denials of wrongdoing has been described as Spain's #MeToo movement; it quickly assumed the name #SeAcabó (lit. 'It's over'), from a tweet posted by Alexia Putellas after Rubiales' speech. Previous attempts by players using collective action to force improvements in the conditions of women's football in Spain have been either ignored or given outward but not systemic change.

The general unity of Spanish society in criticising Rubiales – including politicians from across the political spectrum – was considered unprecedented, as was the support of women's football from men's football players and teams. Rubiales subsequently resigned as president on 10 September 2023, later being banned from football-related activities for three years. A criminal complaint relating to alleged coercion is also being investigated.

Because homosexual people are widely ridiculed and heterosexual people aren't

[–] Kushan@lemmy.world 5 points 8 hours ago

And misogyny.

[–] Smeagol666@crazypeople.online 27 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

It started with Home Alone 2. He let them film in his hotel for some screen time in the movie. The rest is shitstory.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 24 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Some time traveller needs to go back to the filming and make a stage light drop on his head, and save the world.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 points 37 minutes ago

I applaude the sentiment, but should say "cropped out of" since "edited" sounds like they had to use the clone tool to remove him from the center of the frame and spent more than 2 seconds removing him. Here's an pic from a different angle showing Trump way off to the right side of the frame:

Update: Just watched the video and Trump clearly tries to insert himself into the shot, and would have been in frame, but is escorted out of the frame, after which the photo is taken and cropped.

Looks like he’s in his “floating over to a freshly baked pie” pose once again

I've never understood that, it's so weird. People say it's because he wears lifts and I don't doubt he does, and women wearing heels do stick out their butt but they also arch their back to keep their balance. Which lifts the boobs, another plus, but it's mostly for balance. (Source: am woman, have tested the different effects of 4" heels and 4" platforms with a 2" rise toe-to-heel)

Maybe he's trained himself to "not stand like a girl in heels" and thinks he's getting away with it? Or maybe his back is unable to arch? The belly weight is the opposite of a counterbalance so that's not it. Could his cankles be incredibly strong shin muscles? No, Michael Jackson had skinny ankles.

It's a mystery, Scoob!

Edit, new theory: Diaper as counterweight

[–] Mirshe@lemmy.world 18 points 13 hours ago

From what I understand, some forms of dementia can affect the limbic system, causing a forward lean. Combine that with his lifts...

Dear US Americans, the world cannot comprehend that this stain is still in office. It’s baffling that so many people still accept what he’s doing.

[–] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 30 points 14 hours ago (14 children)

Dear world, most Americans can't, either.

[–] Katana314@lemmy.world 6 points 10 hours ago

It’s more like 50.0001% when looking at most polls.

“Reports say an ICE agent pulled a 6 year old child, a US citizen, out of a car and beat him to within an inch of his life, and then pissed on him. Then stripped his clothes off and fucked him. Then, he mailed shrapnel bombs to every one of the child’s friends.

51% of those surveyed said they felt that ICE’s actions were excessive.”

My unending madness comes from failing to understand that demonic 49%.

It's more baffling that the rest of the world can't see how many of us are fighting and getting the shit kicked out of us.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 10 points 13 hours ago* (last edited 13 hours ago) (1 children)

Many either don't see it (they only watch our media snippets), or don't care to support it.

They just want to complain on the internet when something becomes inconvenient for them personally.

Most of these people are cowards, like the person that downvoted you. Many even help Trump by minimizing and belittling those resisting Trump to a portrayal of non-existance.

These people are little more than useful idiots for the GOP.

Fucking good. He didn't need to be there at all.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 10 points 13 hours ago (5 children)

These MAGAs can't do anything to get any glory for themselves, so they have to hijack somebody else's, like Ka$h slamming beers in the Olympic locker room.

He looked like a confused dementia patient. I bet you could smell his diaper on the field

[–] Captainvaqina@sh.itjust.works 10 points 12 hours ago

That's because he is a confused dementia patient.

[–] panda_abyss@lemmy.ca 75 points 18 hours ago

The whole thing looked like a mix of the cringiest of Micheal Scott mixed with a “that was just one moment when we knew he should be in a home” story.

So fucking cringe.
