I am confused; couldn't they take two separate pictures? One with Trump (and possibly the Spanish king) and one with just the team.
Why take one with trump at all? He's just a politician from one of the host nations. No other hosts have acted like this, they respect that the moment belongs to the team. FFS even Infantino can understand that.
I don't know how these things go, I assume it is common to have a photo shoot in such an occasion.
This is the only head of state in recent memory that did such a thing.

They could, but probably they did not want to go to jail.
Oh. Lame.
I would totally go to jail for doing humanity such a favor.
Why? He is just an elected representative of a bunch of people that have no association with the FIFA or Spain.
By this logic he shouldn't have been there to hand out medals. The game was played in his country. It's not so strange to take a picture with a government representative in this kind of occasions.
That, in fact, is not true.
It may be not true, I do not care too much. I just said it would not be strange to take several pictures in an occasion such as that. Whether it is customary to do so or not, I do not know.
You openly admit to not knowing if it's customary, i.e not strange, but also claim that it would not be strange. You defeat yourself in one post.
Please consider that the world of football didn't start in 2026 and that your amount of knowledge is irrelevant to what the actual customs are.
We misunderstand ourselves. I mean on large occasions it is normal to have photo shoots, I don't know whether it is common in football events. I would not be surprised if it was and wouldn't consider it strange.
I'm not trying to make a point here, there's nothing to defeat or be defeated about.
