I LOVED THAT SONG! It resonated emotionally but also like...that is a damn well written song which incorporates a lot of weird shit. I gotta check out more of their stuff, cause that was sick

Yeah, The Beths fuck. Check out "Future Me Hates Me" and "Happy Unhappy", too. I've listened to them through two breakups and a lot of their songs get the tears going.
I am deeply punk and had to deal with all the kids i turned onto cool music in jr high joining up with band geeks to make shitty folk punk and indie rock cause millennial. If it came out like this I would have booked shows for em and played with them. This is a fantastic version of a genre I have a really high bar to clear. I'm a pedal dork who does noise music and can say what they are doing with effects is fucking brilliant and not easy as well. I'm finding a lot of really sick bands in this thread.
AFAIK they're all music school jazz graduates so this is what happens when kiwi jazz nerds do indie rock, I guess.
I can tell, but theyre doing good with it instead of the proto everything millennial are made fun of musically that I had to deal with in its creation. I deeply regret showing punk music to band geeks
