This crap showed in my queue recently and at first I was enjoying it. But then the lyrics were just too "good". And when I looked up the band and generated shite.

On the artist page:

I'm Aug, and here I merge raw expression with machine precision. AI isn't a substitute that creates alone, but rather a partner unlocking new sonic possibilities. Lyrics are mine, augmented by AI-powered instrumentation. Styles range from Psychedelic Rock, Blues, Indie, Jazz to experimental fusions. The bands are all fictional but sound convincing.

I think it says a lot that the it’s advertised as an old band, including 1972 in the name. It’s a hustle, albeit one barely conforming to social media standards.

…That’s so 2025.

Not just for being AI, but like all influencer/social media/app culture. Everything feels “scam adjacent,” the platforms are in on it.
