i did this not too long ago. I requested 4 days off before my "weekend" but they only approved the first 3 days off and I went anyway. called out the day I was supposed to work then when pay day rolled around I got all the holiday pay I originally asked for because my job is union and not extremely stupid (just regular stupid)
Ah yes the union experience of getting basic accommodations and feeling so blessed
i know right its wild not everywhere is like this
