Normally I'd say "isn't that a silly question?"

But considering the guys running this war are a drunk TV show host and an octogenarian TV show host with dementia, I could totally see them just bombing random ships for fun.

After all, it makes them feel like a big boy and it's the peasants' kids that get to endure the consequences.

Some people think it's super fun to beat up small-fingered vulgarians, too

My favorite bit from Spy magazine (which first called Trump a "short-fingered vulgarian" back in the '80s) was when they published an errata and apologized for calling Trump a "short-fingered Bulgarian" -- the apology was to Bulgaria.

Bombing ships for fun

Like we have off the coast of Venezuela?

Israel is also involved. I would be surprised if they didn't bomb anyone trying to take advantage of this offer. Especially if there were children on board.

"You gotta go after the families".

That was the Trump quote that made me horrified at anyone who still supported him. Child murderer.

Notably, he has a (adult) nephew that has stood on the side of justice and I bear no ill will to her.

He has said and done so many things that would get anyone kicked out of politics 25 years ago. Howard Dean's campaign was scrubbed for an enthusiastic yell. Trump supporters are the main reason why I think democracy is doomed to fail, unless we can find a fair and unbiased way to remove the most vile, stupid and gullible people from the voting pool.

The narrative war has shifted, because "mass media" can now be targeted to a specific audience/person.

In days of old, the narrative needed consistency. It needed dignity. It needed to survive the scrutiny of swing voters as well as the hardcore base. But now, the narrative shifts from person to person. A conservative Republican voter might see articles about how Trump is cutting taxes for businesses, but they won't hear much about the very real concerns - corruption, pedophilia, mental health issues.

And since AI can generate article after article, there's never a lack of propaganda for people like this. They happily scroll their newsfeed, believing every lie.

I couldn't, at least not until several years more of their regime. Israel, on the other hand, got away with flagrantly drone bombing a Gaza bound humanitarian fleet even while it was docked in a foreign country. They would totally false flag attack anyone who actually agreed to expel their ambassadors for passage.
