Of course it has an expiry date. Gotta keep the grift going.

[–] HonkTonkWoman@lemm.ee 36 points 2 years ago

Renewal fees are pretty much the only thing keeping the Divinity going these days…

[–] sheogorath@lemmy.world 49 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I love the sovcit streak this community is having. Keep 'em coming ya hear me!

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 21 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I've basically taken over with sovcittery. I've waited so long for people to enjoy these posts

[–] TheFriar@lemm.ee 16 points 2 years ago

Eh. A community for Internet crazies seems like a fitting place, if you ask me.

[–] HappycamperNZ@lemmy.world 8 points 2 years ago

I feel better about my self reading about them

[–] Rivalarrival@lemmy.today 40 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Man, I need to start a whole line of sovcit griftery.

[–] TheFriar@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I had a great idea from another post…if you’re looking to pull a few scams.

AI trump voice. Solicit donations with “real” trump phone calls. Might be able to convince a few of his fascist voters to…well, I mean…I’m sure you can come up with something (that would be helpful to everyone (except tru,p and his crony grifters)).

[–] JJROKCZ@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago (1 children)

You will eventually get caught, have all your illicit earnings confiscated, and go to prison though.

[–] Rivalarrival@lemmy.today 4 points 2 years ago

Yeah, not interested in election fraud. But ID cards, license plates, rubber stamps, and other sovcit bullshit, is all first amendment speech.

[–] CodeName@infosec.pub 33 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I threw it on the ground

You must think I'm a joke

I ain't gonna be part of your system, man!

Is the entire sovereign citizen movement just based on an old Lonely Island song?

I'm an adult!

[–] tacosanonymous@lemm.ee 5 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

I hope so. The eventuality of the, getting tased in the butthole is too good.

Record # 1514174

I sure hope that many people haven't fallen for this grift lmao

[–] HappycamperNZ@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago

And if they did I wish I'd sold them

[–] Selmafudd@lemmy.world 23 points 2 years ago

The age of that finger don't be matching the phone

[–] breadsmasher@lemmy.world 19 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Not engaged in commerce

Whats the betting these clowns don’t even know what commerce is

[–] HappycamperNZ@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Im a 3rd year uni student and I barely know it.

[–] saltesc@lemmy.world 18 points 2 years ago

That's fine and all, but it still doesn't mean they can go on my roads that I pay for and they don't. They can travel on unowned land and any private roads/property once the owner says it's okay, but the road network isn't their's and wasn't set up for them.

[–] skydivekingair@lemmy.world 18 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Patrick Bateman would kill for a business card this thick.

I'm sure the font is much too common for him

[–] FartsWithAnAccent@kbin.social 15 points 2 years ago

lawful

Oh boy!

[–] itsgroundhogdayagain@lemmy.ml 13 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Not engaged in commerce means they are just a traveler and do not need a driver's license.
SOURCE: I grew up with sovcit neighbors

[–] YurkshireLad@lemmy.ca 12 points 2 years ago

“Divinely Accredited”?? 🤦‍♂️

[–] captain_aggravated@sh.itjust.works 12 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I am in the wrong line of work, I really should be in the business of bilking these clowns.

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

One of them sells a sovcit manual for 250 a pop, which is a binder full of photocopied material. It's hilarious how bad it looks.

[–] tombruzzo@lemm.ee 12 points 2 years ago

I thought this was a bad fake ID she was promoting since she's smiling in the photo. Somehow it's stupider than that

[–] lobut@lemmy.ca 10 points 2 years ago

"lawful credentials" from people that don't believe the law applies to them

[–] ObsidianZed@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

I don't know what a sovereign citizen divine authority is and I've seen 3 posts about it today.

What is going on?

*Edit: 4 posts.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 15 points 2 years ago

Bugfuck nuts people:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sovereign_citizen_movement

This is a nice summation, but it gets dumber the more your read:

Sovereign citizens have their own pseudolegal belief system based on misinterpretations of common law and claim to not be subject to any government statutes, unless they consent to them.

tl;dr Buncha idiots who think the law doesn't apply to them because reasons.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 8 points 2 years ago (1 children)

So if I'm actively beating the snot out one of these idiots and they scream, "I DO NOT CONSENT! I DO NOT CONSENT!", what then?

I'm sure none of them has signed a contract with the police for protection, so...

[–] HappycamperNZ@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Two key things about actually having sovereignty

  • recognized (hahaha)

  • defendable, either through law or military force. They don't hold a military, and are apparently their own laws.

Keep on punching

[–] cristo@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago (1 children)

What is up with that talon

[–] klemptor@startrek.website 1 points 2 years ago

Chill out, it's just a fingernail. Well shaped with maintained cuticles.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

How much money could someone make selling these cards?

[–] acetanilide@lemmy.world 16 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Not sure, but there's also an automotive card to go with it...Automotive Card

Edit:

License(?) plates are $36.00 (USD)

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

That's cheaper than I expected. I appreciate that he plugs his ID on that plate, making them reciprocal for validity.

[–] Tenthrow@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

They must also certify that the Earth is flat.

[–] Steve@startrek.website 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)
[–] kattenluik@feddit.nl 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yes?... what else would it be

[–] admin@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 years ago

Squinting your eyes a little nay help.
